BRADFORD WHITE RE230LN6-1NCPP Electric Water Heater (27 gallons) | Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, South Shore & North Shore
A 102 L electric water heater low enough for places where a standard tank will not fit
In a condo, a plex apartment or a cottage, the water heater often hides under a staircase, in a low closet or in a nook where height is lacking. An ordinary upright tank simply does not fit there. The Bradford White RE230LN6-1NCPP electric water heater was designed for these situations: it holds 102 L of hot water in a tank only 29 9/16 in. tall, wider and squatter than a standard model. AirGreen installs it in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore and on the North Shore.
A low, wide format
The RE230LN6-1NCPP measures 29 9/16 in. (751 mm) in height for a diameter of 23 in. (584 mm). These proportions let it slip under the steps of a staircase, under a laundry room shelf or into the utility closet of a condo, where a tall, narrow tank would be blocked by the ceiling. In return, it takes up a little more floor space: we therefore measure the available space, the clearance in front of the element access panel and the path to the location before confirming the model.
Who it is for
A 102 L reserve suits a single person or a couple, in a condo, a small apartment or a cottage. It is also a good choice for replacing an old low-height tank without having to modify the cabinet or closet around it. For a family with children or a house with several bathrooms, we look instead at a larger size in the same family, or at a standard tank if the height allows.
With a reserve of this size, a few habits make a real difference: spacing out the shower and the dishwasher, washing laundry in cold water when possible and keeping a reasonable set temperature. At commissioning, we adjust the thermostat to your use and show you how to change it safely.

Screw-in elements, wattage confirmed with the order
The RE230LN6-1NCPP heats water with immersion electric elements screwed directly into the tank. In non-simultaneous mode, the default configuration, only one element runs at a time, which limits the current drawn from the panel. The exact element wattage of the unit ordered is confirmed with the order and shown on your quote; it determines the size of the breaker and conductors. If you want simultaneous operation, it must be specified at the time of ordering.
Which voltage for your home
Bradford White offers this model in several voltages. In a Quebec house or condo, the water heater is usually fed by a two-pole 240 V circuit; the other voltages are used mainly in commercial buildings or special cases. We check the existing supply, the condition of the circuit and the panel capacity, then confirm the configuration before ordering the unit.
Materials and easier maintenance
The tank is protected by Bradford White's Vitraglas with Microban lining. The copper elements can be replaced with INCOLOY-type elements on request, a useful option when the water is particularly hard. The low-restriction brass drain valve, with a tamper-resistant design, makes fast, thorough draining easier, a real advantage during annual maintenance.
Listings and manufactured homes
According to the manufacturer, all models in the series are UL listed. The RE230LN6-1NCPP is also approved for installation in manufactured homes, under standard CAN/CSA Z240 MH series. Its low height makes it a natural candidate for a tiny home or a mobile home, where technical space is very limited.
Manufacturer's warranty
This model is covered by a 6-year limited warranty on the tank and 6 years on parts. The full terms come with your quote.

- installing the relief valve and its discharge line;
- the electrical connection according to the confirmed wattage, and a check of the breaker;
- filling the tank completely before powering it up, then setting the temperature;
- maintenance advice: partial flushing, relief valve test, anode check.
In a condo: protecting the neighbours below
In a condominium, a leaking water heater can damage several units. We install the tank on a drain pan connected to a drain whenever possible, and we check every fitting for leaks at commissioning. Some condo boards also require a leak detector or an automatic shut-off valve; we can include this in the quote if your by-laws call for it.

We work in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Rosemont, Verdun, Brossard, Sainte-Rose and everywhere on the South Shore and the North Shore. Our financing program lets you spread out the payment if you wish.
