Installation and distribution of the 5-ton YORK YH5 LX central heat pump throughout Greater Montreal.
Two-stage LX series, R-454B refrigerant, ENERGY STAR® certified, 10-year parts and compressor warranty.
The two-stage compressor changes how the home is heated. Instead of starting at full capacity and then shutting off, the unit spends most of its time at the low stage: longer cycles, fewer starts, and more consistent temperatures from room to room.
Certified performance, not advertised performance. Paired with the YORK JHE60D5CH2SS1 blower cabinet, the YH560E2S11 is rated at 15.2 SEER2, 11.7 EER2, and 7.8 HSPF2 under AHRI certificate 214424699. It delivers 38,500 BTU/h at -8 °C and 29,800 BTU/h at -15 °C - enough to heat a large home without relying on backup heat for half the winter.
YORK approves this series for heating down to -18 °C. Below that temperature, the backup heat source - electric element or furnace - takes over. We always size both systems together, after performing an actual home load calculation: an oversized central system costs more, has cycles that are too short, and dehumidifies poorly.
The blower cabinet is part of the system. The JHE60D5CH2SS1 is a 61.75-inch-high, 24.5-inch-wide, and 21.5-inch-deep packaged unit with a constant-torque ECM motor, supplied with its factory-installed thermostatic expansion valve and A2L sensor. It delivers 1,800 CFM and can be installed in upflow, downflow, right-horizontal, or left-horizontal configurations - providing flexibility for placement in both basements and attics.
A flexible outdoor unit. It can be paired with a blower cabinet, an A-coil, or a cased coil, and operates with a conventional thermostat - no proprietary control required. The fin-and-tube coil and baked-on salt-spray-resistant paint are designed for lasting outdoor use.
R-454B replaces R-410A. Its global warming potential is nearly 78% lower, and it is the refrigerant used in new equipment sold in Canada.
YORK heat pumps are also eligible for provincial and/or federal rebates, such as Chauffez Vert, Efficient Heat Pumps (Hydro-Québec), and Greener Homes.
