The name says 7,000 BTU: that's the unit's size class. Durastar publishes 7,200 BTU/h at 230 V, a little more than its size class, and 6,800 at 208 V, the supply in many buildings.
3,519 WThe heater that takes over
The "G" in DRPTHP07Y41G1A means a 3.5 kW heater: 3,519 W (10,900 BTU/h) at 230 V, 2,850 W at 208 V, on the 6-20P plug of the LCDI cord supplied. It heats when the heat pump can no longer keep up.
3.6The COP published at 8 °C
Durastar publishes a heat-pump COP of 3.6: 6,200 BTU/h of heat at 230 V. Each kWh you pay for gives back 3.6 in heat, against 1 for the heater or a baseboard.

Un appareil qui ne se voit ni du trottoir ni du salon
Un immeuble converti de Terrebonne, dont chaque unité a son propre compteur, reçoit la plainte d'un locataire sur la température de son logement. La façade est ancienne, la rue est étroite, et rien de saillant n'y serait accepté longtemps. La grille côté rue, le caisson côté pièce
Dehors, il n'y a qu'une grille extérieure à aligner sur une ligne de fenêtres ou un bandeau de brique : aucune unité extérieure au sol, aucun support en saillie, aucun câblage apparent sur la façade. Dedans, le caisson de 42 x 21 x 16 po occupe le bas d'un mur, et sa valeur basse publiée, 49,2 dB(A), est le réglage qu'il tient le plus souvent dans une petite pièce.

Aucune ligne frigorifique dans des murs anciens
Un immeuble converti cache des surprises entre ses planchers : vides remplis, ossatures reprises, conduits abandonnés. N'avoir aucune ligne frigorifique à tirer retire ce risque : la seule pénétration est celle du manchon mural, renforcée par un linteau quand la coupe touche un élément porteur.
L'écoulement du condensat sur une façade de brique
La pente vers l'extérieur donnée au manchon évacue le condensat sans bac ni pompe. Sur de la brique, nous regardons où l'eau tombe : un appui de fenêtre, un solin ou un trottoir mitoyen se marquent avec le temps. La grille se place aussi au-dessus de la ligne de neige, hors de portée du banc poussé par le déneigement de rue.
