A service call reveals an aging system
At AirGreen , we often receive calls for Fujitsu wall-mounted air conditioners that have been installed for over fifteen years. This was recently the case in Côte-Saint-Luc , where a customer contacted us about insufficient cooling in his kitchen and living room.
The air conditioner, a Fujitsu wall-mounted model from the 2000s , showed clear signs of wear: irregular fan noise, lukewarm air even in cooling mode, and slight water leakage along the wall. Accurate diagnosis: between aging and deferred maintenance
Upon our arrival, our technicians carried out a complete diagnosis :

Targeted repair: getting comfort back on track
Our technicians undertook a three-step intervention :

Complete cleaning of the interior module : dismantling of the casing, washing of the coil using a specialized biodegradable product, and cleaning of the centrifugal fan.

Detection and sealing of the microleak using a tracer and nitrogen test, followed by recharging with R410A refrigerant .

Condensate pump overhaul and fan repositioning to eliminate imbalance.
Once the system was reassembled and tested, the air conditioner returned to its original performance , blowing cold air at 8°C cooler than the ambient temperature.
Result: comfort restored and device extended
At the end of the service, we were able to confirm that the compressor and electronic board were still functional—great news for the customer. Thanks to thorough maintenance and targeted repairs, his Fujitsu air conditioner is back to near-new efficiency.
We also offered annual preventative maintenance , especially important for older wall-mounted units, to extend life and prevent future refrigerant leaks.
