Fujitsu wall-mounted air conditioner repair in Plateau-Mont-Royal

A quick service call in a bright workspace

One June morning, our AirGreen team was called to a creative studio located in Plateau-Mont-Royal . The client, a visual production contractor, informed us that their Fujitsu wall-mounted air conditioner was no longer cooling the space effectively, despite regular maintenance. In a work environment where temperature and comfort stability influence productivity, such a breakdown needed to be addressed immediately.

First assessment: a well-installed device but losing power

Upon our arrival, the technician performed a complete visual inspection. The Fujitsu wall-mounted air conditioner , installed on a central wall approximately 2.5 meters above the floor, was showing signs of low airflow . No abnormal noise was noticeable, but the room temperature remained around 26°C, well above the programmed setpoint.

The checks revealed:

  • Clogged air filters , reducing airflow.

  • A slightly frosted evaporator coil , a symptom of a partial lack of R-410A refrigerant .

  • A slight accumulation of dust on the interior fan blades.

  • Blowing temperature too high (17°C instead of the expected 10-12°C).

In-depth diagnosis and AirGreen technical approach

Once the initial observations were noted, our technician began the full diagnostic procedure :

  1. Checking the operating pressures of the refrigeration circuit using a digital manifold.

  2. Check the condensate drain to eliminate any risk of obstruction that could cause secondary icing.

  3. Inspection of electrical wiring and relays : no signs of failure or overheating detected.

  4. Evaporator temperature sensor analysis : calibrated and functional.

The measurements confirmed a lack of refrigerant , probably due to a micro-leak on a flare connection .

Intervention: complete overhaul of the Fujitsu system

The intervention took place in several stages:

  • Complete recovery of residual refrigerant to prevent loss to the environment.

  • Renovation of the flare connection to the indoor unit, with the addition of a new gasket and tightening calibrated to the torque prescribed by Fujitsu.

  • Vacuum the system for 45 minutes to remove residual moisture.

  • Accurate recharge of R-410A refrigerant , according to the weight specified on the nameplate.

  • Thorough cleaning of the coil and filters with a non-corrosive degreaser.

  • Final performance test : air supply at 10.4°C , standardized air flow, and stable condensation.

Result: an immediate return to comfort and productivity

Just minutes after the repair, the customer noticed a noticeable improvement in cooling throughout the entire space. The Fujitsu wall-mounted air conditioner returned to its original energy efficiency, and the room temperature stabilized at 22°C.

At AirGreen , we always insist on quality diagnostics before any refill or part replacement. This approach not only allows us to avoid unnecessary interventions, but also to guarantee increased longevity of HVAC equipment .

AirGreen Tips to Prevent Wall-Mounted Air Conditioner Breakdowns

We took advantage of our visit to remind you of some good preventive maintenance practices :

  • Clean the filters once a month during the summer season.

  • Maintain clearances around the indoor unit for optimal air circulation.

  • Have a complete professional maintenance carried out every spring to avoid loss of performance.

  • Monitor any unusual noise or temperature variations , signs of possible system imbalance.
