What information should appear on the contractor's invoice?

Understanding the importance of a compliant invoice to access the LogisVert subsidy

At AirGreen , we know that more and more homeowners in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, the North Shore , and the South Shore are looking to take advantage of LogisVert grants to improve their energy comfort while reducing their electricity bills. But for this financial assistance to be accepted, every administrative detail counts —and that starts with the invoice issued by the contractor .

Why is the invoice so crucial for LogisVert?

Hydro-Québec 's LogisVert program requires that all grant applications be supported by detailed documentary evidence , including accurate and complete invoices . Without these elements, the application may be refused , resulting in significant delays or a total loss of the expected financial assistance .

At AirGreen, we have supported hundreds of clients through the LogisVert process and know exactly what needs to be included on each document to ensure seamless approval .

Mandatory elements to appear on the HVAC contractor's invoice

Here is the exhaustive list of information that must appear on the invoice, depending on the type of installation carried out and the official requirements of the LogisVert program.

Mandatory general information (all measures combined):

  • Invoice number and date

  • Date of installation

  • Customer's Full Name (must match name on proof of ownership)

  • Address of the facility (must be located in Quebec)

  • Name of the company carrying out the work

  • Company's RBQ license number

  • Company's GST and QST numbers

  • Precise description of the work carried out and the products installed

  • Total cost of work (purchase and installation included)

For an efficient heat pump or a high-efficiency wall-mounted heat pump :

  • Name and model number of the installed heat pump

  • AHRI number of the installed system

  • Photo of exterior nameplate with serial number and model

  • The product must appear on the official list of eligible LogisVert heat pumps

AirGreen Tip : Every installation carried out by our teams automatically includes all of these elements on the invoice. We also provide the customer with the necessary photos to finalize their request.

For caulking work :

  • Detailed list of sealed elements :

    • Windows

    • Exterior doors

    • Patio doors

    • Attic access hatches

    • Kitchen hoods

    • Bathroom fans

    • Electrical outlets

    • Homes

  • Company mention with RBQ license

  • Proof that the work was carried out by an authorized professional

For a heat pump + combined caulking (double measurement admissible):

  • One invoice per type of work (or a single invoice clearly separated into two sections)

  • All of the information described above

  • The total amount eligible for the grant is $140 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8°C

For other eligible measures (heat pump dryer, induction cooker, roof insulation, etc.):

  • Exact model of the device installed

  • Proof that it was purchased in Quebec

  • Photo of the device installed in the eligible home

  • Description clearly stating that this is a device eligible for the program

Common errors that cause a LogisVert request to fail

At AirGreen, we've often been called upon to correct incorrectly completed or rejected grant applications . Here are the most common errors:

  • Omission of the RBQ number

  • Absence of AHRI number

  • Too vague description of the product or service

  • No photographic evidence

  • Invoice drawn up in the name of an occupant other than the registered owner

  • Lack of information on taxes (GST/QST)

  • Invoice dated more than 9 months after installation

⚠️ The deadline to submit a LogisVert application is 9 months after installation . After this deadline, no subsidy can be awarded.
