• Single-family homes (detached, semi-detached, row houses)

• Mobile homes

• Four-season chalets

• Condos (as a residential unit)

• Multiplex (2 to 19 units)

• Apartments with individual meters in buildings with 20 units or more

• The heat pump must be new, bought from a Québec retailer and ENERGY STAR certified ($120 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8 °C if it is a “cold climate” model, otherwise $50).

• The system can be wall-mounted (multi-zone or single zone) or central (air).

• The installation must be carried out by a company:

  • Registered with the Quebec Enterprise Registrar

  • Holder of an appropriate RBQ license

  • Member of the trade corporation for its sector
