Floor-ceiling unit: installation in Montréal, Laval, Longueuil, South Shore and North Shore
One unit, on the floor or on the ceiling, to heat and cool the whole room.
Wider and more powerful than a wall unit: from 9,000 to 60,000 BTU in a single indoor unit, heating down to −35 °C depending on the model, and up to $4,920 in indicative LogisVert grants.
Free quote for your floor-ceiling unit
Only your name and email are required. Free on-site estimate, everywhere in Greater Montréal.

Four questions, and we tell you which type of unit fits your room.
Floor-ceiling, wall, cassette or ducted: the bars move with every answer.
Same unit, two positions: watch where the air goes.
Choose the position, the mode and the ceiling height. The airflow redraws itself, and we tell you if it’s the right combination.
On the ceiling, cooling: the cool air falls gently.
The cool air runs along the ceiling then settles over the whole room, without a direct draft on people. And the unit takes no wall space.
How it works: warm air rises, cool air falls. On site, we aim the louvers to suit the room.
Tap a room in the house: we show you the position we prefer.
In the basement, we mount the unit low on the wall.
The heat starts from the floor, where the cold settles. In summer, the unit cools and dries the air in the room.
Slide the area: we show you the capacity and the three models that fit.
AirGreen rule of thumb: about 18,000 BTU per 1,000 sq ft, adjusted for high ceilings. We always confirm on site.
Your three best choices

Lower the thermometer: your three models, side by side.
The three choices from step 04 are put to the test. Slide the temperature or tap a marker: each bar reads the capacity published on the spec sheet.
Different brands of floor-ceiling indoor units: tap a card.
Each brand’s official cards. The figures are recalculated from their spec sheets: models, capacities, extreme cold, maximum grant.
Each dot is a model. Change the axes: the chart rearranges itself.
Top right: the best on both criteria. Tap a dot to read its spec sheet and add it to the comparison.

Your LogisVert grant, calculated line by line, and the deadline for your application.
Hydro-Québec pays $50 per 1,000 BTU/h at −8 °C for an ENERGY STAR model, and $120 for a cold-climate model (guide v1.10, September 15, 2026).
The multi-unit bonus ($100 more per 1,000 BTU/h at −8 °C) applies under conditions, since June 15, 2026.
The 25 eligible models, from the largest to the smallest amount
Cap: 100% of the cost before taxes. Application no later than 9 months after installation. Indicative amounts; Hydro-Québec confirms eligibility (guide v1.10, September 15, 2026).

Six mistakes we often see, and how to avoid them.
An oversized unit
It starts and stops constantly: less comfortable, more wear. We size it to the room, not “just in case”.
9,000 BTU on its own
The outdoor unit must be at least 12,000 BTU/h for LogisVert: a 9,000 BTU on its own is not eligible.
A non-certified model
Without ENERGY STAR certification, no LogisVert grant. Every spec sheet on this page shows it.
A head bought alone
The ACD and Tosot heads on this page only work when connected to a multi-zone heat pump.
A forgotten application
The LogisVert application must be made no later than 9 months after installation. Note the date from day 1.
A fake representative
Hydro-Québec does no phone or door-to-door solicitation for LogisVert.
The questions we’re asked most about floor-ceiling units.
What is a floor-ceiling unit?
It’s the indoor unit of a ductless heat pump, wider and more powerful than a wall unit. It mounts low on a wall, near the floor, or under the ceiling. On this page, capacities range from 9,000 to 60,000 BTU in a single indoor unit.
Floor or ceiling: which position to choose?
On the floor, the heat starts low and rises: it’s comfortable in heating, especially in a basement. On the ceiling, the unit takes no wall space and the cool air falls gently in cooling. We decide on site based on the room, the furniture and the line route.
What capacity for my room?
Our rule of thumb: about 18,000 BTU per 1,000 sq ft, adjusted for ceiling height, windows and insulation. It’s indicative: we confirm the capacity during the free visit.
Is my unit eligible for LogisVert?
Hydro-Québec pays $50 per 1,000 BTU/h at −8 °C for an ENERGY STAR model, and $120 for a certified cold-climate model. The outdoor unit must be at least 12,000 BTU/h. The grant does not exceed 100% of the cost before taxes and the application must be made no later than 9 months after installation. The amount is indicative: Hydro-Québec confirms eligibility.
Is it noisy?
The spec sheets on this page range from 26 dB at the lowest speed (Gree Vireo) up to 57 dB at full speed for the largest models. At equal capacity, a correctly sized unit runs at low speed more often, so more quietly.
Does it heat in the middle of winter?
Depending on the model, heating works down to −10 °C and down to −35 °C for the Direct Air Heat Xtreme Pro. 25 models on this page are cold-climate certified. Each spec sheet shows the capacity at −8 °C and, when published, at −15 °C and colder.
Can I connect it to a multi-zone system?
The ACD and Tosot heads on this page only connect to a multi-zone heat pump. The other models are sold with their own outdoor unit, with AHRI numbers on each spec sheet.
Which refrigerant to choose?
The page has 34 models in R-410A, 10 in R-32 (Fujitsu Centauri, Gree cassettes) and 9 in R-454B (Midea, new-generation Durastar). We explain the difference during the visit, based on the models available in the capacity you need.
Why are there 1-way cassettes on this page?
The GREE Crossover and Extreme 1-way cassettes are recessed into the ceiling. They are listed with the floor-ceiling units because they meet the same need: a room with no free wall for a wall unit.
What’s the difference with a floor console?
A floor console only mounts low on a wall. The floor-ceiling unit mounts low on a wall or under the ceiling, and goes higher in capacity: up to 60,000 BTU on this page.
What happens during the estimate visit?
We measure the room, choose the location of the indoor and outdoor units, look at the line route and the electrical panel, then you receive a written quote. The visit is free.
