Quick facts
The heavy-duty wall bracket is the reinforced version of our outdoor unit bracket. It comes in two capacities, 115 lb or 200 lb, to mount on the wall the units that are too heavy for a standard bracket: large outdoor units and multi-zone systems. It is sold individually; you need two per unit.
When to choose a reinforced bracket
A multi-zone unit serving three or four rooms weighs a lot more than a small single-zone unit. On the wall, that weight adds to the snow, the ice and the compressor's vibration, winter after winter. A bracket sized with some margin keeps the unit level and firmly in place.
115 lb or 200 lb
- Find the weight of the outdoor unit on its nameplate or in its manual.
- Choose a capacity well above that weight.
- If in doubt, take the 200 lb capacity or ask us to check.
An installation that lasts
A heavy unit needs solid anchoring, chosen to suit the wall: brick, concrete or wood frame. Anti-vibration pads between the unit and the rails reduce the noise transmitted into the house. For most single-zone units, our standard wall bracket is enough.

For outdoor units that weigh a lot
Multi-zone units and large compressors call for a sturdier bracket than a standard wall bracket.
- Multi-zone outdoor units serving two, three zones or more
- Large outdoor units of wall-mount heat pumps
- Wall installations where a standard bracket would be too light
- Replacing an old, undersized bracket
