Closet first: the 4CDH indoor unit, measured for your space.
It is the indoor half of the 4CDH central system: a multi-position cabinet 17.52 to 24.49 in. wide, with 5 to 25 kW electric elements chosen on the quote. It works with the 4CDH outdoor unit, which heats down to -30 °C.
Updated October 27, 2026 · CanAir 4CDH brochure, NEEP and Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert list
For anyone replacing an electric furnace who wants to know if the 4CDH unit fits the closet, how it sits and what its elements ask of the panel.
All six 4CDH indoor units, right below.
From 1.5 to 5 tons. Each page lists the system’s AHRI number, outdoor and indoor, and the indicative LogisVert amount.
Enter your closet’s measurements: we draw each cabinet in it, to scale.
Three cabinet widths for six sizes. Measure the free space in inches, door open.
Size to draw in the closet
—
This compares the cabinet only. You also need room for the ducts, the filter, service access and the manual’s clearances: we measure everything during the visit.
Cabinet dimensions (W × D × H) and weight: CanAir 4CDH brochure (revised July 18, 2025). A dimension equal to the closet’s counts as “fits”.
Upright, upside down or lying down: it sits the way your ducts need.
Tap a position: the cabinet turns and the air follows.
Airflow direction
One unit, four ways to set it.
Air comes in at the bottom and leaves at the top.
Air comes in at the top and leaves at the bottom.
Lying down: air leaves to the left.
Lying down: air leaves to the right.
We choose the position based on your ducts and the space, during the visit. The ECM motor holds a constant airflow up to 0.8 in. H2O of static pressure, per the brochure.
“Multi-position (up/down/left/right)”: CanAir 4CDH brochure (revised July 18, 2025), indoor units.
From 5 to 25 kW of elements: in BTU/h, and what they draw from the panel.
Five kits sold separately that install in the indoor unit; yours is chosen on the quote. Tap a kit.
Element kit
The elements heat when the heat pump needs help. AirGreen holds subclass 16 (electrical) of its RBQ licence 5645-9605-01: the panel is checked during the visit.
A calculation, not a breaker size: the current shown divides the power by 230 V. The breaker and wire size follow the installation manual and the Code. The 4CDH brochure does not map kits to sizes: compatibility is checked in the manual.
EAH-05E to EAH-25E (UL) kits, 230 V: CanAir 4CDH brochure (revised July 18, 2025), p. 7. Conversion: 1 kW = 3,412 BTU/h.
Four speeds per size, from 489 to 1,807 CFM.
It is the air the unit pushes into your ducts. On the spec sheet it reads in CFM (cubic feet per minute).
Airflow (CFM) at turbo, high, medium and low speed: CanAir 4CDH brochure (revised July 18, 2025). 1 CFM = 1.699 m³/h, AirGreen conversion.
The amount follows the complete system: from $1,800 to $5,400.
One AHRI number per outdoor + indoor pair, one amount per number.

The indoor unit alone does not qualify. The LogisVert guide excludes replacing a single indoor or outdoor unit. The amount follows the AHRI number of the complete system: the 4CDH indoor unit with its 4CDH outdoor unit.
Amounts and -8 °C outputs: Hydro-Québec LogisVert list of October 27, 2026. Rules: LogisVert residential participation guide, version 1.10, September 15, 2026 ($120 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8 °C, ineligible work, 9 months, 100% of pre-tax cost cap).

Your 4CDH unit, measured for your closet and installed by AirGreen.
We measure the space, check the ducts and the panel, and hand you a clear quote with the system’s AHRI number and the indicative LogisVert amount.
Heads-up: Hydro-Québec does not solicit anyone by phone or door to door for LogisVert. If a call “from Hydro-Québec” tries to sell you a heat pump, hang up.
