Quick facts
Three tons of cooling on a horizontal furnace, with a well-planned drain
When the electric furnace lies along the ceiling of a finished basement or in a mechanical space, the coil on top of it works above living areas. The ADP HH59136A265A2102AP horizontal coil addresses this situation with a 10 in deep cabinet, a molded drain pan and bi-directional airflow. It is a 3-ton (36,000 BTU/h nominal) R-410A slab for a central air conditioner or a central heat pump.
What you are installing
This evaporator coil is delivered in its cabinet, ready to attach to the outlet of a horizontal electric furnace or air handler. Its metering device is a factory-installed piston. According to ADP, the H59 slab covers 2.5 to 4 tons, and it is the piston size, intended for 36,000 BTU/h, that makes this model a 3-ton coil. This size suits single-family houses and plexes whose ductwork serves several rooms on more than one level.
Condensate, a detail that matters
On a humid July day in Montreal, a coil removes a lot of water from the air. The HH59136A265A2102AP’s condensate falls into a molded pan made of high-temperature polymer (450°F), UV resistant and treated with Microban, then flows to the drain. We install a trap on the drain and, when the unit sits above a finished room, we recommend an auxiliary pan under the assembly. It is a simple precaution that protects ceilings.
Air conditioner or heat pump
ADP declares the HH series compatible with both. With a central heat pump, the same coil distributes heat in winter, and the electric furnace tops up during deep cold. One clarification is needed: sold alone, the coil has no efficiency rating of its own and does not qualify for the LogisVert grant. Performance depends on the matched outdoor unit and air handler, and ADP does not publish a matching list for this model. We therefore check your equipment before any order.
What AirGreen does
A family business established in Montreal for more than fifteen years, AirGreen holds RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 (ventilation, refrigeration and electrical). After the free on-site estimate, you receive a written quote that spells out the work: refrigerant recovery and removal of the old coil if applicable, installation and support of the 44 lb cabinet, transition to the 26-5/8 x 21-1/4 in opening, brazing of the 3/8 and 7/8 in connections, pressure test, vacuum, drain, then commissioning. We work in Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore, on the North Shore and throughout Montreal.
Ask for your free estimate: we check your furnace, your outdoor unit and the drain location, then give you a written quote. Financing is available.
A 3-ton coil for horizontally installed units
The HH59136A265A2102AP connects to an electric furnace or air handler installed lying down. With an R-410A outdoor unit, it cools the house; with a heat pump, it also contributes to heating.
- Single-family houses and plexes where the horizontal furnace serves a large duct system
- Moving from a central air conditioner to a 3-ton central heat pump
- Replacing a leaking R-410A horizontal coil
- Units installed above a finished ceiling, where condensate must be well managed

What to know before installing
- Sold alone: does not qualify for the LogisVert grant. A coil has no efficiency rating on its own; performance depends on the matched outdoor unit and air handler.
- Horizontal position only: it cannot be mounted vertically.
- R-410A: the factory-installed piston is sized for 36,000 BTU/h nominal; we validate it against the outdoor unit before start-up.
- Above a finished ceiling, we recommend an auxiliary pan under the unit in addition to the main drain.
- 22-3/4 x 31 x 10 in (H x W x D) cabinet, 44 lb. ADP does not publish a matching list for this model: compatibility is checked before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
What sets this coil’s capacity?
According to ADP, the H59 slab covers 2.5 to 4 tons. This model receives a factory piston sized for 36,000 BTU/h, which makes it a 3-ton coil.
Where does the condensate go?
It drains into the coil’s molded pan, then to a drain. We connect the drain with a trap and, when the unit is above a finished room, we recommend an auxiliary pan.
Can I use it with a heat pump?
Yes. ADP states that the HH series is compatible with a heat pump. The outdoor unit must run on R-410A, like this version of the coil.
Does it qualify for the LogisVert grant?
No, not sold alone. If the project includes a new outdoor unit, our quote specifies whether the complete proposed system qualifies.
What does ADP’s warranty cover?
The coil’s parts, for 5 years from installation, not to exceed 6 years from manufacture. ADP offers an extension to 10 years with registration within 90 days, under conditions (owner-occupied single-family residence, model covered by the promotion); in Québec, according to ADP, failure to register does not reduce coverage. Labour and refrigerant are not covered.
