The Eco-Touch Auto IAQ wall control from Fantech runs a compatible air exchanger and adds an automatic mode based on indoor air quality (IAQ). Instead of leaving ventilation at a fixed setting, the exchanger adjusts it to the air in the house.
Why automate ventilation
A new or renovated house is very airtight: without enough ventilation, humidity, odours and indoor pollutants build up. On the other hand, ventilating hard when the house is empty wastes energy, especially in the middle of winter. Automatic mode strikes that balance: ventilation follows occupancy and activities, without you having to think about it.
Placing the control
- In a central, occupied area: hallway, living room, family room.
- Away from the stove, the bathroom, windows and air vents.
- At the same height as the other wall controls.
Compatibility and wiring
Fantech controls are designed for specific air exchangers. Send us the brand and model number on your unit's nameplate: we confirm compatibility before ordering. Shut off power to the exchanger before wiring and follow Fantech's diagram.
