Quick facts
With the GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-TERX external switch controller, a key card, a door or window sensor or even a thermostat takes charge of an AIRSTAGE heat pump. Nothing sets it apart from the same part under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand: Fujitsu General Limited, acquired by Paloma Rheem Holdings, became GENERAL Inc. on January 1, 2026, keeping its factories, its AIRSTAGE products and their model numbers.
The manufacturer intends it for hotel rooms, among other uses. The controller handles on/off, temperature and fan speed, as well as a master control.
A room that follows its occupant
The guest slides in their card: the heat pump starts. Once they are gone, the unit turns off or takes on the planned setting. The manufacturer states that the controller accepts the key-card and sensor switches found on the market. Paired with a two-threshold thermostat (T1 and T2), it alternates between heating and cooling on its own, and the remote always keeps the power to override this mode.
Power and size
- Power supply range: 6.5 to 16 V DC, with the indoor unit supplying 12 V DC
- Housing: 140 × 117 × 43 mm (H × W × D) for 250 g net
Listed units and communication kit
On the compatibility side, the manufacturer provides it for its R-32 H-series systems, whether they carry the GENERAL or the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE name. This ranges from the Altair 500, Orion XLTH and Orion XLTH+ wall units to the suspended ceiling unit, by way of the ACUH and AUUH cassettes, the ADUH and ARUH ducted units, the AMUH air handlers and the AGUH floor units.
