GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-TWRXZ2 Communication Kit for Wall Unit

The GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-TWRXZ2 is the communication kit that lets you connect a wired remote control to an AIRSTAGE wall-mount heat pump. It is the same part as the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE version: Fujitsu General Limited has gone by the name GENERAL Inc. since January 1, 2026, with the same manufacturer, the same factories and the same model numbers. The manufacturer’s documentation specifies that it is used “to connect a 2-wire non-polarized wired remote controller”. On an Altair 500, Altair 700 or Orion XLTH wall unit, there is no getting around it: without it, no wired control can be connected.

The condition for adding a wired control

For Altair 500, Altair 700 and Orion XLTH wall units, the manufacturer’s spec sheets leave no doubt: the UTY-TWRXZ2 must be in place to connect each of the devices below to the indoor unit.

• The KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wired controller, along with the UTY-RNRUZ5 wired remote control
• The two simple remote controls, UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY
• The UTY-VTGX network converter and the UTY-TERX external switch controller
• The UTY-TTRXZ1 24 V thermostat interface

One version per unit family

The same job is done by three different kits, depending on the unit. The UTY-TWRXZ2 is designed for ASUH**KPAS, ASUH**KMAS and ASUH**KZAS wall units. AGUH**KUAS floor units call for the UTY-TWRXZ3, while Orion XLTH+ wall units take the UTY-TWRXZ4. Neither cassettes nor duct units appear in these requirements.
