GENERAL AIRSTAGE Leak Detection System Accessory – UTYSGZU

An OEM part, the GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTYSGZU accessory belongs to the refrigerant leak detection system developed by the manufacturer. You will also find the same part under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand: since January 1, 2026, Fujitsu General Limited has carried the GENERAL Inc. name, and for as long as the transition lasts, the part is sold under both names. Because its exact use varies from one unit to another, we order it only after checking your model numbers.

Leak detection and R-32

R-32 is more and more common in newer heat pumps. This refrigerant is classified A2L, meaning low toxicity and mildly flammable, and the units that use it are designed with their own safety measures, including leak detection. Several R-32 AIRSTAGE units in fact already include their own sensor: the manufacturer names, among others, the ARUH ducted units and the AMUH air handlers. What is required depends on the unit, the refrigerant charge and the room.

Three pieces of information let us confirm that the part goes with your installation:

• the exact model of both units, indoor and outdoor, copied from their nameplates
• the type of refrigerant (R-32, R-410A…) the nameplate mentions
• a photo of the location, when possible

On an A2L refrigerant unit, only a qualified technician may do the work. Once the part is in, we test the detection system, then log the service call in the file.
