Quick facts
The PSC-6RAD is the indoor-unit H-Link adapter (“H-Link Adapter IDU”) that Hitachi lists among the accessories for the airHome line. H-Link is Hitachi’s control network; the adapter connects an airHome indoor unit to it, for example to integrate it into a larger Hitachi installation, such as a VRF system.
For projects beyond the house
In a building or a business, airHome units can sit alongside other centrally controlled Hitachi equipment. The PSC-6RAD adapter makes the link on the side of each indoor unit. The submittal sheets we reviewed list it for the whole line:
- airHome 400, 600 and 800 wall units (RAK-DJ, RAK-GJ, RAK-XJ);
- multi-zone wall units and consoles (RAK-GJ, RAK-DJ07, RAF-FJ);
- RAD-GJ ducted units and RAI-GJ mini cassettes.
IDU and ODU
The PSC-6RAD goes on the indoor unit. The RAM-G multi-zone outdoor unit has its own H-Link adapter, the SPX-RAMHLK. Choosing between the two, or combining them, depends on the network architecture: we confirm it with you before ordering, based on the unit models and the intended control system.
