GENERAL AIRSTAGE Simple 2-Wire Remote Control without Mode Selection – UTY-RHRY

The GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-RHRY is the simple 2-wire remote the manufacturer designs for the hotel industry. The name changed, not the product: on January 1, 2026, Fujitsu General Limited became GENERAL Inc., and the model numbers stayed the same. The GENERAL UTY-RHRY is the same part sold under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand.

Occupants can turn the unit on, turn it off and set the temperature, but the operating mode stays out of their reach: the manager sets it.

A mode set in advance, fewer service calls

It is a classic scenario in a hotel, a residence or a managed rental unit: in the depths of winter, an occupant switches to cooling, ends up uncomfortable and complains. The UTY-RHRY cuts that short, since the mode is chosen a single time, for good. The temperature sensor sits in the remote and adjusts in 1 °F steps, while the backlit LCD screen is easy to read in a dark room.

• Non-polarized cable with 2 shielded, twisted conductors, 22 to 16 AWG

Compatibility and newer version

The manufacturer offers it as an option for its R-32 AMUH air handlers, ARUH ducted units, ACUH and AUUH cassettes and ABUH suspended units, sold under both names, GENERAL and Fujitsu. GENERAL also has a newer version, the UTY-RHRYZ1, which additionally provides refrigerant leak and sensor replacement alerts. If occupants need to be able to choose the mode, look instead to the UTY-RSRY.
