GENERAL AIRSTAGE 2-Wire Simple Remote Control with Mode Selection – UTY-RSRY

The GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-RSRY is a simple 2-wire remote, and the GENERAL version is in every respect the same part sold under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand. The former Fujitsu General Limited has been doing business as GENERAL Inc. since January 1, 2026; while GENERAL gradually phases out the Fujitsu brand, the same remote sells under both names.

Its compact wall housing brings the everyday controls together: on, off, mode selection, fan speed, setpoint and vertical louvre direction. Thanks to the built-in temperature sensor, it is the air in the occupied zone that gets measured.

Everything you need, no menus

Auto changeover does the work for you: depending on the temperature, the unit moves from heating to cooling on its own, and back again. The setpoint is adjusted in 1 °F steps on a large backlit display. On the management side, four functions mainly serve the property manager: setpoint range limits, control lockout, heating or cooling priority and a filter indicator.

• Runs on 12 V DC from the indoor unit, drawing 0.3 W at most
• Connects with a 2-conductor shielded twisted cable, no polarity, 22 to 16 AWG
• Accepts up to 16 indoor units and 4 remotes in the same group
• Measures 120 × 75 × 19 mm, weighs 120 g and operates from 0 to 46 °C

Its successor, the UTY-RSRYZ1

The UTY-RSRYZ1 is now the model the manufacturer puts forward to replace the UTY-RSRY; the newcomer additionally flags refrigerant leaks and when to change the sensor. To replace a remote like for like or to complete a group that already includes UTY-RSRY units, this model remains a sound choice. For a new project, our advice depends on the unit you have.
