GENERAL AIRSTAGE Touchscreen Wired Remote Control – UTY-RNRUZ5

The GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-RNRUZ5 is a wired wall remote with a backlit touchscreen, and, apart from the GENERAL name, it is identical to the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE version of this part. The double name has a simple explanation: on January 1, 2026, the manufacturer Fujitsu General Limited switched to the name GENERAL Inc., without changing anything about its factories or its model numbers. During the transition, you will therefore find this remote under both names.

A 2-wire cable links it to the indoor unit, which supplies its power, and the screen shows the room temperature. It appears in the manufacturer’s submittal sheets for the majority of R-32 AIRSTAGE units that come without a remote, whether air handlers, ducted units, cassettes or ceiling-suspended units.

A week of comfort, programmed ahead

For scheduling, you get a weekly timer with two programs and a maximum of 8 settings per day. In practice, you lower the setpoint for the night, raise it before you get up and reduce it during office hours. A single remote runs up to 16 indoor units as a group. It also offers an occupancy sensing setting, an emergency heat function and management of alternating and standby operation (lead-lag).

What sets the UTY-RNRUZ5 apart from the UTY-RNRUZ6

The manufacturer states that the UTY-RNRUZ6 takes over from the UTY-RNRUZ5. This newer model also warns of a refrigerant leak and signals when to replace the sensor. If you are replacing a UTY-RNRUZ5 like for like, it remains the reference model; in a new installation, your unit guides our recommendation.
