The GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-RNRUZ6 is the wired remote that succeeds the UTY-RNRUZ5. The manufacturer simply changed its name on January 1, 2026: Fujitsu General Limited became GENERAL Inc., following its acquisition by Paloma Rheem Holdings. The GENERAL version is thus the same part sold under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand, with the same model number.
Nothing is lost from the previous model’s programming, and it brings what systems running on R-32 refrigerant need more and more: refrigerant leak alerts that occupants can see and hear.
There is no overlooking the alert
As soon as a leak condition is detected, the remote sets off its buzzer, displays an error icon, flashes its backlight and turns on a flashing indicator light, all at the same time. It also warns you when the time comes to replace the sensor, which helps keep the system reliable and compliant. These alerts depend on the leak sensor housed in the indoor unit.

Compatible equipment
According to the manufacturer, it suits all 2-wire communication H-series models as well as TLAV, TLAV1, TLAV2, KSA1 and KSA2 VRF systems, sold under the GENERAL name as well as the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE name. On R-32 systems with a leak sensor, the UTY-RNRUZ6 alerts occupants as soon as a leak condition is detected.
