A still-young outdoor unit can end up paired with a damaged or poorly matched indoor coil. In that case, replacing everything is not always necessary: a new coil using the same refrigerant and of matching capacity brings the system back to normal operation. Arcoaire’s EHD4X42AAL meets that need for 3.5-ton (42,000 BTU/h) R-410A systems whose indoor unit is installed horizontally.

The EHD4X42AAL at a glance
It is a slab evaporator coil in a cabinet, designed for horizontal airflow in either direction. The coil is all aluminum, corrosion resistant according to the manufacturer, and it slides out of the cabinet for cleaning. On the spec sheet from ICP, Arcoaire’s manufacturer, it carries the reference EHD4X42AAL1. The bi-flow TXV meters refrigerant in both flow directions, so Arcoaire presents this coil for a central air conditioner or a heat pump.

How we work
It all starts with a free on-site estimate. We note your outdoor unit model, check that it runs on R-410A and that its capacity fits, then confirm the cabinet dimensions and the available space. You receive a written quote before anything is ordered.
At installation, our technicians remove the old coil, set the new one, braze the refrigerant lines and connect the condensate drain. Then come the leak test, the evacuation and commissioning, in cooling and, where applicable, in heat pump heating. Before you reserve your coil
Arcoaire grants a 10-year limited parts warranty when the product is registered within 90 days of installation, and 5 years without registration. Sold alone, the coil is not eligible for the LogisVert grant. If your outdoor unit is also nearing the end of its life, we compare with you replacing the coil alone and replacing the complete system.
