For a ducted unit, what you hear in the room also depends on the ducts and grilles. Decibels are logarithmic: 10 dB less means ten times less sound energy.

The low-static unit can drive another brand’s electric heater: wired directly below 13.6 A; above that, through a contactor rated at least 1.2 times the heater current, according to Midea. The high-static unit has a “T” plug for an optional heater.
“At -15 °C, our Midea ducted units give less maximum heat than at 8 °C.”
True. All of them, per the NEEP list: the high-static 9,000 goes from 16,500 BTU/h at maximum at 8 °C to 11,900 BTU/h at -15 °C. It still stays above its rated 9,900 BTU/h.
