At -8 °C, heat of 8,000 BTU/h at the rated point (NEEP list).
COPs published by the NEEP list (ashp.neep.org, data by AHRI number, Oct. 8, 2026): rated at 8, -8 and -15 °C; at the coldest point, at maximum output, as reported by the manufacturer. Electric baseboard: about 100% efficient (NRCan, “Heating with Electricity”). Hydro-Québec Rate D in force April 1, 2026: 7.065¢/kWh up to 40 kWh per day, 11.142¢/kWh beyond, plus the access charge. A lab COP is not a bill: real use depends on the house and how it is used.

Since November 26, 2025, only ENERGY STAR certified units qualify.

The filter sits on top of the unit and attaches with magnets: easy to remove and clean, even often, according to Midea.
The fan wheel comes out for a thorough cleaning, and the evaporator becomes reachable.
When the room has been empty for over 30 minutes, the unit lowers its operating frequency to save energy.

According to Midea, the wall head can sit up to 65 m (213 ft) of line set from the outdoor unit, with up to 30 m of height difference, depending on the model. The outdoor unit does not have to be right behind the wall.

The outdoor units of our Midea wall units blow sideways, not upward like a classic central heat pump; the largest are only 16 1/8 in. deep, according to Midea. They fit a balcony, a deck or a narrow side yard (Midea25 and Midea28 24,000, Midea28 33,000, Midea35 18,000).

For deep cold and large rooms, the Midea28: up to 33,000 BTU/h and 100% heat down to -25 °C, according to Midea. For the lowest summer use, the Midea35, SEER2 up to 33.3. The Midea25 is ENERGY STAR cold climate in all four sizes. The Midea22 is the only one in our lineup in 115 V. We confirm the size at the visit.
It depends on the size. In 9,000 and 12,000, the Midea28 gives the most certified heat at -8 °C; the Midea35, the highest maximum heat at -15 °C. In 18,000, the Midea35 wins both. In 24,000, the Midea25 gives a little more at -8 °C (22,400 vs 22,200 BTU/h), the Midea28 much more at its maximum at -15 °C (24,200 vs 19,600). In 33,000, only the Midea28 exists. At -30 °C, the NEEP list still gives up to 20,700 BTU/h for it.
LogisVert requires an outdoor unit of at least 12,000 BTU/h nominal cooling, even when the 9,000 is ENERGY STAR certified.
No: it has no ENERGY STAR record and was not on the Hydro-Québec list as of October 6, 2026. The Midea22 18,000 is on it, as ENERGY STAR standard: $700.

At Midea, Wi-Fi control of wall units goes through an optional module, with the Midea SmartHome app. The quote says what is included.
For the first owner of a single-family home: 7 years on the compressor and 5 years on parts, or 12 years on both if the unit is registered within 60 days. Any other use: 5 years compressor, 1 year parts. Next owner: 5 and 5. Midea excludes labour and refrigerant.
A wall unit is one outdoor unit for one room. A Midea28 multi-zone connects 2 to 6 heads to a single outdoor unit, and LogisVert counts it as one system. See our Midea multi-zones.

According to Midea’s “High Wall Split” brochure, our wall units go down to 16 to 20 dB(A) indoors at the lowest speed, depending on the model (30 dB(A) for the Midea28 33,000), and outdoor units start at 53 dB(A). Each model’s level is on its product page.
