For 115 V: it is the only one of our Midea wall units sold in 115 V, in 9,000 and 12,000 BTU/h. It also has an 8 °C heating mode and a port for a Wi-Fi module or a wired controller, according to Midea.
In 9,000 BTU/h, ENERGY STAR certifies the same heat for both: 10,000 BTU/h at 8 °C, 8,000 at -8 °C. SEER2 goes from 21.5 (115 V) to 21.6 (220 V). We check your electrical panel at the visit.
The 18,000 does, as ENERGY STAR standard: $700. The 9,000 does not (outdoor unit under 12,000 BTU/h). Nor does the 12,000: it has no ENERGY STAR record and was not on the Hydro-Québec list as of October 6, 2026.
Midea does not publish a heating limit for the Midea22 in the documents we reviewed. For main heating in deep cold, look at the Midea25 or the Midea28 instead.
At Midea, Wi-Fi control of wall units goes through an optional module, with the Midea SmartHome app. The quote says what is included.
For the first owner of a single-family home: 7 years on the compressor and 5 years on parts, or 12 years on both if the unit is registered within 60 days. Any other use: 5 years compressor, 1 year parts. Next owner: 5 and 5. Midea excludes labour and refrigerant.
