ELIOS slim fan coil (Pancake)
277.6 mm high: the ELIOS fan coil hides in a drop ceiling and pushes air at 0.8 in.
Four sizes, 18,000 to 36,000 BTU/h, with an ELIOS ESHEA outdoor unit: a ducted heat pump for condos and low ceilings, heating down to −25 °C per ELIOS.

How Hydro-Québec computes it
The amount follows the certified heating capacity at −8 °C: $120 per 1,000 BTU/h for a cold-climate ENERGY STAR heat pump, $50 for a standard ENERGY STAR heat pump.
- Outdoor unit of 12,000 BTU/h or more.
- Capped at 100% of the cost of the work.
- Apply within 9 months of the installation.

Questions
Questions about the ELIOS slim fan coil.
How much ceiling space is needed?
The unit is 277.6 mm high and 593 mm deep; width ranges from 1,098 to 1,578 mm by size. Ducts and service access come on top: we measure on site.
Is it noisy?
ELIOS publishes 49 to 60.5 dB(A) depending on size and speed. Since the unit sits above the ceiling and distributes air through ducts, placement matters: the sound meter above places each size on the Québec.ca scale.
Why does the 30,000 have no LogisVert?
It is not on Hydro-Québec’s Oct. 25, 2026 list. The 18,000 is listed at the standard rate of $50 per 1,000 BTU/h; the 24,000 and 36,000 at the cold-climate rate.
Can backup heat be added?
Yes, 3 to 10 kW kits are installed on site (5 to 10 kW on the 24,000). The tool above gives their electrical data.
What warranty?
ELIOS publishes 1 year on parts and 5 years on the compressor, with optional 10-year coverage. ELIOS publishes no labour warranty. ELIOS states that leaving out the leak detection system voids all system warranties.
