Q: What warranty on an e-Multi?

ELIOS publishes 1 year on parts and 5 years on the compressor, with optional 10-year coverage. ELIOS publishes no labour warranty.

How Hydro-Québec computes it

The amount follows the certified heating capacity at −8 °C: $120 per 1,000 BTU/h for a cold-climate ENERGY STAR heat pump, $50 for a standard ENERGY STAR heat pump.

Outdoor unit of 12,000 BTU/h or more.
Capped at 100% of the cost of the work.
Apply within 9 months of the installation.

Questions

Questions about ELIOS e-Multi multi-zone systems.

How many rooms can an e-Multi serve?

2 to 3 on the 18,000, up to 4 on the 27,000, 5 on the 36,000 and 6 on the 48,000. The ELIOS table also sets which head sizes go together.

Why is my combination refused when the BTU fit?

Because ELIOS does not count in BTU: each head has a score, and only the sums listed in the table are allowed. For example, three heads on the 18,000 can only be 6,000 or 9,000 units.

Can a wall unit and a ducted unit be mixed?

Yes, ELIOS allows wall, ducted, cassette and console heads on one compressor. Some combinations exclude the 1-way cassette: we validate with the ELIOS tool.

Does LogisVert change with the number of heads?

No: it follows the system’s certified capacity at −8 °C. On the Oct. 25, 2026 list: $1,920 (18,000), $2,832 (27,000), $3,720 (36,000), $4,416 (48,000).

Is there an e-Multi that heats at −30 °C?

ELIOS publishes an EXZ family rated to −30 °C. The systems on this page are the EXS family, rated to −25 °C. Tell us about your house: we compare.

How far can the heads be?

35 m per head and 80 m in total from 27,000 to 48,000 (30 and 60 m on the 18,000), 15 m of height to the outdoor unit, 10 m between heads, and at least 3 m per head.

What happens if a head detects a leak?

The head’s fan runs to disperse the refrigerant, an automatic shut-off valve isolates the circuit and the compressor stops, per the 2026 e-Multi brochure.
