HITACHI electric furnace: the airCore 700’s JPE, in your old furnace’s place
The JPE is the indoor unit of the airCore 700 central heat pump. It goes where the furnace was, connects to your ducts and, with the PAS outdoor unit, heats down to -25°C according to Hitachi. Every JPE in our store is matched with its PAS.

Electric furnace or airCore 700 JPE: what changes at home.
The JPE takes the furnace’s place on your ducts. The big difference: the heat comes from the heat pump, not only from electric elements. A Hitachi electric heating element (accessory) can be added to the air handler for backup.

Since October 5, 2026, Québec’s Consumer Protection Act grants new heat pumps a 6-year warranty of good working order. At AirGreen, it includes parts, labour and travel.
A complete professional maintenance once a year, with the invoice as proof. Manufacturers require it before supplying a warranty part.

Your questions about the Hitachi JPE, answered.
It is the indoor unit (the air handler) of the airCore 700 central heat pump. It takes the furnace’s place on your ducts; a Hitachi electric heating element can be added for backup.
On our product pages, each JPE is matched with its PAS outdoor unit: the combination carries the AHRI number, the certified heat and the LogisVert amount. We look at the right option with you during the visit.
The JPE works with a static pressure of 0.3 to 0.8 in. w.c., which lets it adapt to difficult ductwork. We check your ducts and the furnace space during the visit.
Its combination (PAS-24BLFASDQ1 + JPE24B3XC2HS1A, AHRI 216439112) is not on the ENERGY STAR list (checked October 8, 2026). Since November 26, 2025, only ENERGY STAR units qualify. The 1.5-ton ($1,992) and the 3-ton ($4,200) do.

Hydro-Québec multiplies the certified heat at -8°C, in thousands of BTU/h, by $120 for an ENERGY STAR cold climate unit, or by $50 for a standard ENERGY STAR unit. The grant never exceeds 100% of the cost before taxes, and the AHRI number of the installed combination decides.
