At Hitachi, the number on the wall unit tells you how cold it can go: -20.5°C for the airHome 400, -25°C for the airHome 600, -30°C for the airHome 800. All three clean themselves with FrostWash. We pick the series, the size and the LogisVert amount with you, then install it anywhere in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, the South Shore and the North Shore.

02 · Heat when it freezes
How much heat is left when the thermometer drops.
Three curves, one size: certified heat at 8°C, -8°C and -15°C. Slide the temperature: the right-hand column shows which units still heat, and which keep 100% of their power.

The 100% comes from Hitachi (HeatForce); the chart points come from ENERGY STAR. They don’t measure the same thing: the chart shows certified heat, not maximum power.
03 · FrostWash and air quality
A wall unit that washes itself, with ice.
A wall unit’s coil collects dust and mould, and the airflow drops. Hitachi cleans it by freezing it, then thawing it: one button on the remote. Tap each step.

Room humidity freezes on the indoor coil. The ice traps the dust and dirt stuck to the fins.
According to Hitachi. On the airHome 800, FrostWash 3.0 removes 95% of mould and 99% of bacteria from the coil (manufacturer tests).

“Not specified”: Hitachi’s Canadian page doesn’t mention it for that series. PM2.5 filter: captures 99% of fine particles according to Hitachi’s tests (JEM1467 standard).
FrostWash doesn’t replace maintenance: the filter is still cleaned by hand, and a wall unit should be inspected once a year. The FrostWash video is in section 09.
04 · Several rooms: airHome Multi
One outdoor unit for 2 to 5 rooms. And the 24,000 gets more LogisVert than the 36,000.
Only the RAM-G24N3 compressor is ENERGY STAR “cold climate” certified: it gets $120 per 1,000 BTU/h at -8°C, the others $50. Tell us how many rooms: we show the compressors that fit, from the most generous to the least.

Your existing ducts, a heat pump that heats down to -25°C.
The airCore 700 replaces central air conditioning and heats the house through the ducts: a PAS outdoor unit and a JPE indoor unit in place of the furnace. It also carries the brand’s largest LogisVert amount.

08 · Hitachi warranty
Up to 10 years on parts and compressor, if the unit is registered on time.
The Hitachi warranty goes from 7 years on the compressor and 5 years on parts to 10 years on both when the unit is registered online within 60 days of installation. At AirGreen, we do it for you. And since October 5, 2026, your new heat pump installed by AirGreen is also covered for 6 years, parts, labour and travel included.
