HITACHI airCore 700 central heat pump: heats down to -25°C through your ducts
The airCore 700 replaces central air conditioning and the furnace: a PAS outdoor unit and a JPE indoor unit on your ducts. It heats down to -25°C according to Hitachi. In 3 tons, it carries the largest LogisVert amount of our Hitachi lineup: $4,200.

Heat at -8°C and -15°C, SEER2, HSPF2, AHRI number and LogisVert for each PAS + JPE system. The 1.5-ton and the 3-ton are ENERGY STAR cold climate and Most Efficient; the 2-ton is not ENERGY STAR certified, so no LogisVert.

The outdoor unit draws heat from the air, down to -25°C according to Hitachi.
The R-32 refrigerant carries heat inside, or takes it outside in summer.

We register your airCore 700 system with Hitachi after commissioning.
Since October 5, 2026, Québec’s Consumer Protection Act grants new heat pumps a 6-year warranty of good working order. At AirGreen, it includes parts, labour and travel.
A complete professional maintenance once a year, with the invoice as proof. Manufacturers require it before supplying a warranty part.

Yes. The JPE indoor unit takes the furnace’s place on your ducts, and the PAS outdoor unit heats and cools. The system heats down to -25°C according to Hitachi.
Its combination (PAS-24BLFASDQ1 + JPE24B3XC2HS1A, AHRI 216439112) is not on the ENERGY STAR list (checked October 8, 2026). Since November 26, 2025, only ENERGY STAR units qualify. The 1.5-ton ($1,992) and the 3-ton ($4,200) do.
The JPE works with a static pressure of 0.3 to 0.8 in. w.c., which lets it adapt to difficult ductwork. We check your ducts and the furnace space during the visit.
Down to -25°C according to Hitachi. All its JPE indoor units also have FrostWash self-cleaning.
Hydro-Québec multiplies the certified heat at -8°C, in thousands of BTU/h, by $120 for an ENERGY STAR cold climate unit, or by $50 for a standard ENERGY STAR unit. The grant never exceeds 100% of the cost before taxes, and the AHRI number of the installed combination decides.
