Altair 700: compact, quiet and cold climate from the 9,000.
Two sizes, 9,000 and 12,000 BTU/h, both ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified. Wi-Fi is built in and the indoor unit goes down to 19 dB(A) on quiet speed, according to Fujitsu. It heats down to -15 °C: the right pick for a bedroom, an office or a basement, alongside your main heating in winter.

The small wall unit with the cold-climate mark.
Six facts from Fujitsu documents and the ENERGY STAR list. Sources are at the bottom of the page.
Both sizes, 9,000 and 12,000, are ENERGY STAR Cold Climate certified.
On its quiet speed, the indoor unit goes down to 19 dB(A), according to Fujitsu: a lab measurement.
Built-in Wi-Fi: it is the only Altair series that needs no adapter.
Same indoor size as the Altair 500 at 9,000 and 12,000, but more heat at -15 °C: 10,300 and 10,600 BTU/h against 7,100 and 8,500.
Same ENERGY STAR value at -8 °C as the Altair 500 12,000, but $1,044 of LogisVert instead of $435, thanks to the Cold Climate mark.
The first of Fujitsu’s five R-32 wall series on the market, in May 2024 per ENERGY STAR.
Better-Tier: the best of the Altair.
All three Altair heat down to -15 °C. What puts the Altair 700 on top: the cold-climate mark from the 9,000 and built-in Wi-Fi. To heat lower, step up to the Orion.

For main heating in deep cold: the Orion XLTH goes down to -26 °C and has the heated base pan; the Altair 700 is quieter and lighter.
Built-in Wi-Fi and a 10 °C minimum heat mode.
What Fujitsu puts in every Altair 700.
Built-in Wi-Fi: you control the unit with the AIRSTAGE Mobile app, no adapter needed.
No automatic cut-out in cold weather, according to Fujitsu.
Minimum heat mode: the room stays at 10 °C, above freezing.
Two filters: apple catechin (3 to 12 months) and ion deodorizing (3 years, washable).
Powerful mode: 20 minutes at maximum airflow and compressor speed.
Four fan speeds, plus auto.
Outdoor low-noise mode: 3 dB quieter, according to Fujitsu.
Works with Fujitsu’s KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wall controller and UTY-RNRUZ5 touch controller.
Minimum heat mode: the room stays at 10 °C, above freezing, handy for a cottage or a little-used basement. Fujitsu publishes no capacity below -15 °C for the Altair 700.
19 dB(A): below a whisper.
Place the Altair 700 on the scale of everyday sounds. On quiet speed it is the quietest Fujitsu R-32 wall unit, tied with the Altair 500 at 9,000 and 12,000.

On its quiet speed, the indoor unit goes down to 19 dB(A) in cooling, according to Fujitsu. That is a lab measurement.
Same indoor size, but the Altair 700 is Cold Climate certified, gives more heat at -15 °C, has built-in Wi-Fi and a higher SEER2. The Altair 500 offers sizes up to 36,000 BTU/h and six fan speeds.
The 12,000 does: $1,044 under Hydro-Québec’s rule. The 9,000 does not, as it is below the 12,000 BTU/h minimum.
Fujitsu does not list one for this series, so your HVAC contractor picks a spot where defrost water drains well.
Up to 20 m of line set and 15 m of height difference, with 15 m pre-charged.
An apple-catechin filter and an ion deodorizing filter, on top of the washable air filter.
Fujitsu specifies 15 A for both sizes, at 208/230 V.
It has a minimum heat mode that holds the room at 10 °C, and built-in Wi-Fi lets you check on it remotely. Below -15 °C, Fujitsu publishes no heating capacity, so your HVAC contractor will tell you whether backup heat is wise.
