Orion XLTH+: the Fujitsu wall unit that heats down to -30 °C.
The top of the FUJITSU AIRSTAGE wall range. At -30 °C it still gives at least its nominal capacity, according to Fujitsu: 10,200, 12,300 or 15,100 BTU/h depending on size. Three sizes, in white or soft black, installed by an Elite Plus team in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore and on the North Shore.
Orion, the Hunter
The constellation’s main stars, placed from their catalogue coordinates. Fujitsu does not explain its series names: a curiosity, not a promise.
Six facts that set it apart from the rest of the range.
Every figure comes from a Fujitsu document, the ENERGY STAR list or the NEEP list; sources are at the bottom of the page.
At -30 °C, Fujitsu still publishes 113%, 103% and 101% of nominal capacity for the 9,000, 12,000 and 15,000.
Fujitsu’s manual gives the heat delivered at -30 °C: 10,200, 12,300 and 15,100 BTU/h.
It is the only R-32 FUJITSU AIRSTAGE wall unit offered in soft black, the same size as the white one.
At -15 °C, the 9,000 can deliver 17,000 BTU/h, nearly twice its size.
Built-in Wi-Fi, an occupancy sensor and a heated base pan come on all three sizes.
All three sizes meet the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient criteria.
At the very top of the ladder: Top-Tier.
Fujitsu ranks its five R-32 wall series in five tiers. The Orion XLTH+ is the only one that heats down to -30 °C; the Orion XLTH stops at -26 °C, the three Altair at -15 °C.
9,000, 12,000 or 15,000 BTU/h.
Tap a size: photo and link to the product sheet, heat at -15 °C, efficiency and LogisVert amount. The 9,000 is below the LogisVert minimum; the 12,000 and 15,000 qualify.
