How many rooms can one outdoor unit serve?

Two to five: the 18,000 BTU/h takes 2 heads, the 24,000 up to 3, the 36,000 up to 4 and the 45,000 up to 5.

Can I pick any head size?

No. Fujitsu publishes 276 approved combinations. We pick yours from those tables, then check it with Fujitsu’s selection software.

Do all rooms have to run at the same time?

No. One head can run alone, or all of them. Unused capacity goes to the rooms that are on.

Can one room heat while another cools?

No. All heads on one outdoor unit heat together or cool together. Fujitsu recommends independent zoning for rooms with opposite needs.

Does a multi-zone qualify for LogisVert?

Yes, if the system is ENERGY STAR certified. Hydro-Québec treats it as one system: one amount for the outdoor unit and all its heads, based on its capacity at -8 °C.

Does the LogisVert amount change with the number of heads?

No. It depends on the outdoor unit and the certificate (wall, ducted or mixed heads). Example: $3,720 for the Aquila 45,000 with wall heads, in 2, 3, 4 or 5 zones.

Why does the standard Aquila 36,000 get less LogisVert?

It is ENERGY STAR certified but not Cold Climate: at -15 °C it keeps 65.9% of its 8 °C capacity, under the 70% threshold. The rate is $50 instead of $120 per 1,000 BTU/h.

How far can the heads be from the outdoor unit?

Up to 25 m of line set per head and 50 to 80 m in total depending on the model, with at most 15 m of height from the outdoor unit and 10 m between heads.

Can I add a head later?

Only if the outdoor unit has a free port and the new combination is in Fujitsu’s tables. Adding a single head doesn’t qualify for LogisVert on its own.

What is Fujitsu’s warranty?

7 years on the compressor and 5 on parts out of the box; 10 years on both with online registration within 60 days; 12 years when the installer is also a Fujitsu Elite contractor. Labour isn’t covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

What about the older R-410A models (RLXFZ)?

Fujitsu’s current site only shows the R-32 models. Two older models, the 36,000 RLXFZ1 and the 45,000 RLXFZ, are not ENERGY STAR certified, so they get no LogisVert grant.

Two cabinets, six sizes.

The 7,000 to 15,000 BTU/h heads share one cabinet; the 18,000 and 24,000 a wider one. All go down to 21 or 29 dB(A) on quiet speed, according to Fujitsu.

From $1,180 to $3,720 with wall heads.

LogisVert pays by outdoor unit: $120 per 1,000 BTU/h of heat rated at -8 °C if it is cold climate, $50 otherwise. The standard Aquila 36,000, the only one without the cold-climate mark, gets the $50 rate.

RLXFZ and RLXFZH: the R-410A multi-zones.

Fifteen R-410A products remain in AirGreen’s catalogue, with their own heads: generations are not mixed. Their LogisVert amount ranges from $0 to $2,568 per the ENERGY STAR list.

What to know before choosing.

One mode at a time All heads on one outdoor unit heat together or cool together, according to Fujitsu.

Capacity is shared When every head calls, total capacity is the outdoor unit’s; what is unused goes to the rooms still calling.

Only the combinations in the tables Fujitsu approves specific head combinations; the tables are not for sizing, hence the home visit.
