Altair 500: six sizes, from the bedroom to the large open area.
The widest range of FUJITSU AIRSTAGE wall units: from 9,000 to 36,000 BTU/h, in three indoor sizes. It heats down to -15 °C; from the 18,000 up it is ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified, and the 36,000 earns the largest LogisVert amount among our wall units: $2,688.
Altair, in the Eagle
Altair and its two neighbours in the constellation of the Eagle, placed from the catalogue. Fujitsu does not explain its series names.
The wall unit that goes furthest in size.
Seven facts from Fujitsu documents, the ENERGY STAR list and the NEEP list. Sources are at the bottom of the page.
It is Fujitsu’s only R-32 wall series offered in 30,000 and 36,000 BTU/h.
At -15 °C, the 30,000 and the 36,000 deliver exactly the same heat: 25,800 BTU/h.
The 30,000 and 36,000 accept up to 50 m of line set and 30 m of height difference.
From 18,000 to 36,000 BTU/h, a Fujitsu setting extends cooling down to -20 °C outdoors.
The LogisVert rate goes from $50 to $120 per 1,000 BTU/h between the 12,000 and the 18,000, where the Cold Climate mark starts.
Six sizes, three indoor cabinets: 270, 280 and 340 mm tall.
The 36,000 earns the largest LogisVert amount of our FUJITSU AIRSTAGE wall units: $2,688.
Good-Tier: the all-rounder.
Like the other Altair, it heats down to -15 °C. What sets it apart: six sizes, including the only 30,000 and 36,000 in the R-32 wall range.
From 9,000 to 36,000 BTU/h.

Operating ranges
Ranges published by Fujitsu. Function setting 96, made by the installer, extends cooling down to -20 °C on the 18,000 to 36,000: useful for a room that overheats even in winter.
30,000 or 36,000: in cold weather, the same heat.
At -15 °C, the two largest sizes give exactly 25,800 BTU/h. The difference is in cooling and in LogisVert.

Two filters: apple catechin (3 to 12 months) and ion deodorizing (3 years, washable).
Powerful mode: 20 minutes at maximum airflow and compressor speed.
Six fan speeds, plus auto.
Outdoor low-noise mode: 3 dB quieter, according to Fujitsu.
Works with Fujitsu’s KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wall controller and UTY-RNRUZ5 touch controller.
