LPAS1: six sizes, down to -15 °C, and $0 in LogisVert.
Fujitsu’s former entry series, from 9,000 to 36,000 BTU/h. At -8 °C it gives almost the same heat as its R-32 successor, the Altair 500. The difference lies elsewhere: the ENERGY STAR list now only counts its 9,000, and LogisVert pays $0 on every size. Here are the numbers, side by side.
LPAS1 · R-410A
Fujitsu’s sheets say “Energy Star Yes” for all six sizes; the ENERGY STAR list, which decides for LogisVert, counts only one.
Almost the same heat, not the same amount.
Facts from Fujitsu sheets, the ENERGY STAR list and the NEEP list. Sources are at the bottom of the page.
At -8 °C, the LPAS1 and the Altair 500 deliver almost the same heat, size for size.
On the LPAS1, Fujitsu states that the 10 °C minimum-heat mode requires the Wi-Fi adapter.
Fujitsu’s sheets say ’Energy Star Yes’, but the ENERGY STAR list includes only the 9,000 today, so LogisVert pays $0 on every size.
The 9,000 has the lightest outdoor unit in the former wall lineup: 23 kg.
The 30,000 and 36,000 accept 50 m of line set and 30 m of height difference.
The ’36,000’ is rated 33,000 BTU/h in cooling and 34,000 in heating.
At -8 °C, almost the same heat. LogisVert: $0 against up to $2,688.

What Fujitsu put in it.
Fujitsu lists this series among its retired models. It stays in AirGreen’s catalogue: we confirm availability at quote time, and show you its R-32 successor alongside.
Optional Wi-Fi: a wireless adapter, sold separately, adds app control.
10 °C minimum heat mode: Fujitsu states it requires the Wi-Fi adapter on this model.
Powerful mode: 20 minutes at maximum airflow and compressor speed.
Economy mode: the set point adjusts to avoid over-heating or over-cooling.
Energy Saving Program (ESP): the set point adjusts when the room stays empty, according to Fujitsu.
Quiet schedule for the outdoor unit.
Weekly timer and 24-hour timer.
Removable, washable panel filter.
Cold prevention: the coil warms up before the fan starts in heating.
On the LPAS1, the 10 °C mode goes through Wi-Fi.
Good to know: according to Fujitsu, the LPAS1’s 10 °C minimum heat mode needs the Wi-Fi adapter. Without it, the remote does not offer it. For a cottage, plan for the adapter.

Since November 26, 2025, only ENERGY STAR certified heat pumps qualify.
The outdoor unit must be at least 12,000 BTU/h nominal in cooling.
The grant never exceeds the purchase and installation cost, before taxes.
You apply no later than nine months after installation.

R-410A: what the rules really say.
In Canada, what is capped is the total amount of HFCs, not the servicing of your heat pump. US dates are shown for comparison, in grey.
Canada ratifies the Kigali Amendment, which targets an 85% cut in HFCs by 2036.
Canada’s HFC phase-down starts: the cap is 90% of the baseline.
Québec: GWP limits for some refrigeration equipment. Heat pumps are not covered.
Canada’s cap drops to 60% of the baseline, a 40% cut.
A GWP limit of 750 for chillers, in Canada and in Québec. Still nothing for residential heat pumps.
United States only: import deadline for residential R-410A products (EPA rule, per Fujitsu).
LogisVert requires ENERGY STAR certification, whatever the refrigerant.
United States only: installation deadline for new residential R-410A systems (per Fujitsu).
Canada’s cap drops to 30% of the baseline.
Canada’s cap drops to 20% of the baseline.
Canada’s cap reaches 15% of the baseline, the targeted 85% cut.
Key point: In Canada, what is capped is the total amount of HFCs, not the installation or servicing of an R-410A heat pump. The US dates are shown for comparison only.
Servicing an R-410A heat pump in Québec
In Québec, you can have your R-410A heat pump serviced and repaired for its whole useful life.
Québec’s halocarbon regulation limits the GWP of refrigeration equipment and chillers, not that of residential heat pumps.
Only a person holding the attestation required by the regulation may install, service, repair, charge or drain the unit.
Refrigerant must never be released into the air. It is recovered before any repair or removal.
A leaking unit isn’t simply topped up. A leak test comes before any refill.
The regulation’s annual leak test targets air-conditioning equipment of 20 kW and more, a size no wall heat pump in these families reaches.
R-32 can’t go into an R-410A system. Fujitsu says it is not a drop-in replacement.
Indoor and outdoor units pair within the same generation. Plan a full-system replacement when the time comes.
Canada doesn’t ban R-410A. It caps the amount of HFCs: 60% of the baseline until 2028, then 30% from 2029.
Fujitsu warranty: 5 years parts and 7 years compressor, up to 12 years with online registration within 60 days and a Fujitsu Elite contractor. Labour isn’t covered by Fujitsu.
Register the unit online within 60 days of installation. That’s the condition for the extended warranty.

No question matches. Call us at 514 316-2973.
Fujitsu rates it to -15 °C, with no automatic cut-out below that, though its output there isn’t rated.
No. The 9,000 is under the 12,000 BTU/h minimum, and the 12,000 to 36,000 are not on the ENERGY STAR list.
Fujitsu’s sheet says so, but the ENERGY STAR database lists only the 9,000 today. That list is what counts for LogisVert.
The R-32 Altair 500: the same six sizes, the same -15 °C floor, Cold Climate certified from 18,000 to 36,000.
No, it’s an optional adapter. It’s also needed for the 10 °C minimum-heat mode.
