Do I need a snow hood or wind baffle on the outdoor unit?

Fujitsu offers both. The baffle helps the unit run in high wind, especially on a roof; the hood keeps snow from building up inside the unit. We pick the model for your unit and its location.

Does my outdoor unit have a base pan heater?

The Orion XLTH, Orion XLTH+ and J-7S have one built in: nothing to add. For other models, we check Fujitsu’s sheet for your unit.

Which electric heater kit for my AMUH?

Fujitsu offers two or three per size, from 2 kW (AMUH12) to 16 kW (AMUH48), in one or two stages, at 208/240 V. The choice depends on your heating load and electrical service.

Can a cassette blow on one less side?

Yes. A Fujitsu shutter plate closes one outlet: UTR-YDZB for the compact cassette, UTR-YDZK for the circular-flow cassette.

Can a cassette bring in fresh air?

Yes, with Fujitsu’s fresh air intake kit: UTZ-VXAA for the compact cassette, UTZ-VXRA for the circular-flow cassette.

How do I connect the heat pump to the building system?

Fujitsu offers a Modbus converter (UTY-VMSX), a BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU gateway (FJ-AC-485-1), input/output boards, and a converter to a VRF network (UTY-VTGX).

Does the circular-flow cassette need a condensate pump?

No. It has a built-in drain pump.

What warranty on parts and accessories?

Fujitsu warrants wired controls for three years. Wireless controls and accessories are warranted for 90 days.

Do accessories qualify for a rebate?

No. LogisVert funds the complete heat pump, not accessories or electric elements.

Fujitsu sells a snow hood, a wind baffle and a hail guard for its outdoor units; its spec sheet pairs them with the 12,000 BTU/h compact cassette system.

Wind

According to Fujitsu, a wind baffle helps the unit in high wind, especially on a roof, but it doesn’t improve cooling in cold weather.

3-way

A Fujitsu cassette can blow on three sides only, with a shutter plate.

Black or white

The circular-flow cassette has a built-in drain pump and a grille in white or black.
