A connection on the outdoor side
Most external connections are made at the indoor unit, with the UTY-XWZX, UTY-XWZXZ5 or UTY-XWZXZG harnesses. Some functions connect to the outdoor unit board instead: that is the job of the UTY-XWZXZ3. The signals available vary from one outdoor unit to another, and the unit's installation manual tells you what can be connected to it.
