Quick facts
The Fujitsu UTY-TERX external switch controller lets you control a Fujitsu AIRSTAGE heat pump from external switches: key card, door or window sensor, thermostat. Fujitsu intends it mainly for hotel rooms. It handles on/off, temperature, fan speed and a main override control.
A room that adjusts itself
When the guest inserts their card, the unit starts; when they leave the room, it stops or switches to the preset setting. Fujitsu states that the controller works with the key card and sensor switches available on the market. Combined with a two-threshold thermostat (T1 and T2), it switches automatically between heating and cooling, and the remote can still override this mode.
