The Fujitsu UTY-TWRXZ4 communication kit is the genuine part that lets you connect a wired remote control to the Orion XLTH+ wall-mounted heat pump, the top-of-the-line model in Fujitsu’s AIRSTAGE range. Without this kit, neither the KAGAMI controller nor the wired remote controls can be connected to the unit.
The right kit for the Orion XLTH+
Fujitsu offers a separate version of the communication kit for the Orion XLTH+. The system’s spec sheet carries the note “Requires Communication kit UTY-TWRXZ4 to connect this device to IDU” for these devices:
- KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wired controller and UTY-RNRUZ5 wired remote control
- UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY simple remote controls
- UTY-VTGX network converter and UTY-TERX external switch controller
- UTY-TTRXZ1 24 V thermostat interface
Applicable units
The Orion XLTH+ comes in 9,000, 12,000 and 15,000 BTU, in white (ASUH**KTAS) and in black (ASUH**KTAB). The spec sheet we consulted is the one for the 15,000 BTU system; we check your model before ordering. The Altair 500, Altair 700 and Orion XLTH wall units use the UTY-TWRXZ2 instead. On the Orion XLTH+, the external input and output board is also model-specific: the UTY-XCSXZ3.

A wired control on the Orion XLTH+
The Orion XLTH+ submittal requires the UTY-TWRXZ4 to connect these devices to the indoor unit:
- UTY-RVRU KAGAMI wired controller
- UTY-RNRUZ5 wired remote controller
- UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY simple remotes
- UTY-VTGX network converter, UTY-TERX controller, UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat interface

What to know before installing
- Check that your wall unit is an Orion XLTH+ (ASUH…KT…): we confirm the model before ordering.
- An Altair 500, Altair 700 or Orion XLTH needs the UTY-TWRXZ2.
- On the Orion XLTH+, the external input/output board is the UTY-XCSXZ3.
- The kit installs inside the indoor unit: have a technician do it.

Is my unit compatible?
Fujitsu lists the UTY-TWRXZ4 in the submittal of the Orion XLTH+ 15KTAP1 system. Send us your indoor unit’s model number and we confirm before ordering.
Why not the UTY-TWRXZ2?
Fujitsu pairs the UTY-TWRXZ2 with Altair and Orion XLTH wall units. For the Orion XLTH+, the submittal requires the UTY-TWRXZ4.
Which devices require this kit?
The UTY-RVRU, UTY-RNRUZ5, UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY wired controls, the UTY-VTGX converter, the UTY-TERX controller and the UTY-TTRXZ1 interface.
