The Fujitsu UTY-TWRXZ3 communication kit is the version of the communication kit that Fujitsu lists for its AGUH floor units. It lets you connect a wired remote control or an interface to the console, which is installed at the bottom of a wall, often under a window.
A floor console run by a wall control
A floor unit is practical in a room where the upper part of the wall is not free, but its wireless remote is not always the best choice in an office or a rental unit. The AGUH spec sheet states that the UTY-TWRXZ3 is required to connect the following devices to the unit:
- KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wired controller and UTY-RNRUZ series wired remote controls
- UTY-RSRYZ and UTY-RHRYZ series simple remote controls
- UTY-VTGX network converter and UTY-TERX external switch controller
- UTY-TTRXZ1 24 V thermostat interface
The right kit for the right unit
Fujitsu offers three communication kits. The UTY-TWRXZ3 is the one for AGUH**KUAS floor units; Altair and Orion XLTH wall units take the UTY-TWRXZ2 and Orion XLTH+ wall units the UTY-TWRXZ4. Note also that Fujitsu does not allow the UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat interface to be combined with any other control.

A wall control for the floor console
On the AGUH floor unit, Fujitsu requires the UTY-TWRXZ3 to connect these devices to the unit:
- UTY-RVRU KAGAMI wired controller
- UTY-RNRUZ5 wired remote controller
- UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY simple remotes
- UTY-VTGX network converter, UTY-TERX controller, UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat interface

What to know before installing
- Check that your unit is an AGUH**KUAS floor console.
- Wall-mount units use the UTY-TWRXZ2 or UTY-TWRXZ4, not this one.
- Fujitsu states the UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat interface cannot be used with any other control.
- The kit installs inside the unit: have a technician do it.

When is this kit needed?
Whenever you connect a wired controller (UTY-RVRU, UTY-RNRUZ series, UTY-RSRYZ or UTY-RHRYZ), a UTY-VTGX converter, a UTY-TERX controller or a UTY-TTRXZ1 interface to the floor unit.
Can I use the UTY-TWRXZ2 instead?
No. Fujitsu lists the UTY-TWRXZ2 for wall-mount units and the UTY-TWRXZ3 for AGUH floor units.
