The Fujitsu UTY-TWRXZ2 communication kit connects a wired remote control to a Fujitsu AIRSTAGE wall-mounted heat pump. Fujitsu describes it as the kit used “to connect a 2-wire non-polarized wired remote controller”. On H-series wall units it is not optional: without it, the wired control cannot be connected.
Required for wired controls on wall units
Fujitsu’s spec sheets for the Altair 500 and Orion XLTH wall units carry a clear note: the UTY-TWRXZ2 kit is required to connect the following devices to the indoor unit. The Altair 700 page states the same requirement for the KAGAMI controller.
- KAGAMI UTY-RVRU wired controller and UTY-RNRUZ5 wired remote control
- UTY-RSRY and UTY-RHRY simple remote controls
- UTY-VTGX network converter and UTY-TERX external switch controller
- UTY-TTRXZ1 24 V thermostat interface
Three kits, three unit families
Fujitsu offers three versions that do the same job. The UTY-TWRXZ2 goes on ASUH**KPAS, ASUH**KMAS and ASUH**KZAS wall units. The UTY-TWRXZ3 goes on AGUH**KUAS floor units, and the UTY-TWRXZ4 on Orion XLTH+ wall units. Cassettes and duct units do not appear in these requirements. - UTY-VTGX network converter, UTY-TERX controller, UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat interface

What to know before installing
- The UTY-TWRXZ2 is for Altair 500, Altair 700 and Orion XLTH wall units. The Orion XLTH+ needs the UTY-TWRXZ4.
- AGUH floor units use the UTY-TWRXZ3.
- Order it with the wired controller: without it, the controller cannot connect.
- It installs inside the indoor unit: have a technician do it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need this kit?
Yes if you add a wired controller (UTY-RVRU, UTY-RNRUZ5, UTY-RSRY or UTY-RHRY), a UTY-VTGX converter, a UTY-TERX controller or a UTY-TTRXZ1 interface to an Altair 500, Altair 700 or Orion XLTH wall unit. Fujitsu requires it for those devices.
Is my unit compatible?
Fujitsu lists it for ASUH**KPAS, ASUH**KMAS and ASUH**KZAS wall units. Send us your indoor unit’s model number and we confirm.
How is it different from the UTY-TWRXZ3 and UTY-TWRXZ4?
All three do the same job on different units: UTY-TWRXZ2 on Altair and Orion XLTH wall units, UTY-TWRXZ3 on AGUH floor units, UTY-TWRXZ4 on Orion XLTH+ wall units.
