Quick facts
The Fujitsu UTY-VTGX network converter links an H-series Fujitsu AIRSTAGE heat pump to an AIRSTAGE VRF network. Fujitsu describes it as the converter that translates the H-series communication protocol to that of the V and J series, and states that it “is required to connect a split system to a VRF network”.
One central control for the whole building
In a building that already has a VRF system, wall-mounted heat pumps, cassettes or duct units are sometimes added for a server room, an office or an added space. The converter lets the VRF central control see them and run them like the other units. It connects to the wired remote control terminal and accepts both 2-wire and 3-wire lines.
Manufacturer specifications
- Power supply: 12 V DC, 3-wire polarized or 2-wire non-polarized; 1.2 W maximum consumption
- Dimensions: 140 × 117 × 43 mm (H × W × D), net weight 250 g
- Up to 16 indoor units per converter and 100 converters per VRF network
Also plan for
On wall units and floor units, Fujitsu’s spec sheets require the unit’s communication kit (UTY-TWRXZ2, UTY-TWRXZ4 or UTY-TWRXZ3). For two remote controls, Fujitsu offers the UTY-VTGXV version, powered at 220-240 V AC.
