Quick facts
The Fujitsu UTY-VMSX Modbus converter lets you integrate a Fujitsu AIRSTAGE heat pump into a Modbus network. Fujitsu describes it as the converter that allows “centralized monitoring and control of air conditioners from a building management system, a central controller or a home automation controller”.
One unit, one converter
The connection is one-to-one: each converter plugs into a single indoor unit, to which it is linked through the board’s UART interface. It needs no external power supply, since the unit supplies it with 12 V DC. In a rental building or a commercial space with several heat pumps, you therefore install one converter per unit, then connect them to the Modbus network.
Manufacturer specifications
- Power: 12 V DC, from the indoor unit
