FUJITSU thermostats and controls: run your heat pump from the wall or your phone.
Fujitsu doesn’t make “thermostats” in the usual sense: these are wall controllers, Wi-Fi adapters and interfaces built for its heat pumps. The right part depends on your indoor unit. Find it below.
The right control, for the right unit
Wall controllers, Wi-Fi adapters and interfaces, designed by Fujitsu for its heat pumps.
A control is a choice.
Seven facts from Fujitsu’s sheets, pages and warranty. Sources are at the bottom of the page.
Fujitsu doesn’t make "thermostats" in the usual sense: these are wall controllers, remotes and Wi-Fi adapters built for its heat pumps.
Your adapter’s Wi-Fi network name tells you the app: AP-WH or AP-WJ ending in E means AIRSTAGE Mobile; otherwise it’s FGLair.
The Altair 500 and Orion XLTH wall units need a communication kit for any wired controller.
The UTY-TTRXZ1 interface lets you keep your 24 V thermostat, as long as it’s the only control.
Fujitsu warrants its wired controls for three years and its Wi-Fi adapters for 90 days.
Three wall controllers have a successor with refrigerant-leak alerts: RSRY to RSRYZ1, RHRY to RHRYZ1, RNRUZ5 to RNRUZ6.
The KAGAMI controller isn’t listed for the J-7S VRF, according to Fujitsu.
Pick your unit.
The indoor unit’s model is on its nameplate. Pick its family: you see the controls Fujitsu names for it, and the kit if one is needed.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| UTY-RVRU | Wired wall controller with a colour touch screen and a light ring that changes colour with the mode. It’s set up over Bluetooth with the AIRSTAGE Remo Set app. |
| UTY-RNRUZ5 | Wired wall controller with a backlit touch screen and a weekly schedule. Fujitsu replaced it with the UTY-RNRUZ6, which adds refrigerant-leak alerts. |
| UTY-RSRYZ1 | Simple wall controller that lets you pick the mode, with refrigerant-leak alerts. It replaces the UTY-RSRY. |
| UTY-RHRYZ1 | Simple wall controller where occupants set the temperature without changing the mode. It suits hotels and common areas, and it replaces the UTY-RHRY. |
| UTY-RSNUM | Simple wall controller for previous-generation Fujitsu units with 3-wire communication. |
| UTY-RVNUM | Programmable wall controller for previous-generation Fujitsu units with 3-wire communication. |
| UTY-RNBYU | Programmable wall controller for previous-generation Fujitsu units with 3-wire communication. |
| UTY-TFSXH4 | Wi-Fi adapter that plugs into a wall unit’s USB port. You control the unit with the AIRSTAGE Mobile app. |
| UTY-TFSXJ4 | Wi-Fi adapter for Fujitsu cassettes, ducted units and air handlers. You control the unit with the AIRSTAGE Mobile app. |
| FJ-AC-WIFI-1 | Intesis Wi-Fi module wired straight to the indoor unit, so you can run the heat pump from an app. |
| FJ-IR-WIFI-1NA | Small wall module that talks to the heat pump by infrared, with no wiring into the unit. You control it with the Intesis Home app. |
| FJ-RC-WIFI-1BT | Intesis Wi-Fi module that connects to the indoor unit’s remote-control port. |
| UTY-TTRXZ1 | Interface that lets your 24 V thermostat, such as a Nest or Honeywell, run a Fujitsu heat pump. It must be the only control on the system. |
| UTY-TWRXZ2 | Kit installed in a wall unit so a wired controller can connect to it. |
| UTY-TWBXF1 | Interface kit to connect a wired controller to some previous-generation Fujitsu wall units. |
| UTY-XSZXZ1 | Wall sensor that reads the temperature in the room rather than in the return air of a ducted unit. |
| UTY-XWZXZ5 | Dry contact wire kit: remote on/off, plus run and error signals to another system. |
Per Fujitsu’s sheets, unit by unit. A part missing from a list is not necessarily incompatible: Fujitsu just does not name it for that unit.
The network name tells you.
Your adapter’s Wi-Fi network name tells you which app to download.
The network starts with AP-WH or AP-WJ and ends with E
| Your app | AIRSTAGE Mobile |
| Accounts | 5 per indoor unit |
| Features | Weekly timer, mode, fan speed, groups by building, floor or room |
| Voice assistants | Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant |
UTY-TFSXH4 and UTY-TFSXJ4 adapters, and the built-in Wi-Fi of the Orion XLTH and XLTH+.
Another network name
| Your app | FGLair |
| Voice assistants | Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant |
Fujitsu’s rule: any other Fujitsu adapter network name means FGLair.
Intesis IR module
| Your app | Intesis Home |
| Connection | None: it talks to the unit by infrared |
FJ-IR-WIFI-1NA module.
KAGAMI controller
| Your app | AIRSTAGE Remo Set |
| What it is for | Setting up and servicing the controller, over Bluetooth |
| Link | 1 phone to 1 controller |
It is not an app to run the heat pump remotely.
Good to know: a Wi-Fi adapter does not make the system “ENERGY STAR connected.” No Fujitsu heat-pump ENERGY STAR record read today carries that mention.
Four colours, four modes.
The ring changes colour with the mode
- Blue: cooling

Fujitsu’s control, AirGreen’s wiring.
A wired control sometimes needs a kit, a Wi-Fi adapter needs setting up, a 24 V interface rules out other controls. AirGreen picks the right part, wires it and sets it up with you.

Fujitsu makes wall controllers, remotes and Wi-Fi adapters built for its heat pumps. If you want to keep your 24 V thermostat, a Fujitsu interface lets you do that.
Yes. The Altair 500 and Orion XLTH need the UTY-TWRXZ2 communication kit. For the Orion XLTH+, Fujitsu’s spec sheet lists the UTY-TWRXZ4; we confirm from your model number.
Yes, with the UTY-TTRXZ1 24 V interface. It must be the only control, though: no remote, Wi-Fi adapter or building system at the same time.
The Orion XLTH and Orion XLTH+ wall units do. The Altair 500 uses the UTY-TFSXH4 USB adapter. Cassettes, ducted units and air handlers use the UTY-TFSXJ4.
Check your adapter’s Wi-Fi network name. If it starts with AP-WH or AP-WJ and ends with E, it’s AIRSTAGE Mobile. Otherwise, it’s FGLair.
Yes. FGLair and AIRSTAGE Mobile both work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Up to five accounts per indoor unit in AIRSTAGE Mobile, including the main user.
Up to 16 indoor units with the UTY-RNRUZ6, UTY-RSRYZ1 and UTY-RHRYZ1.
The RSRYZ1 lets you pick the mode: heat, cool and the rest. The RHRYZ1 doesn’t: occupants only set the temperature, which suits hotels and common areas.
Fujitsu replaced it with the UTY-RNRUZ6, which adds refrigerant-leak alerts and a sensor-replacement notice.
Three years for wired controls, including the KAGAMI. Ninety days for wireless controls and Wi-Fi adapters.
No. LogisVert funds the heat pump itself, not controls or thermostats.
