The Élios KJRKAALW1 programmable wired Wi-Fi controller is the “coils only” version of Élios’s Wi-Fi controller. The manufacturer reserves it for Central-Elios coils GCHM, cased, and GUHM, uncased: the ones installed on a furnace or in an existing duct system to add a central heat pump.
Controlling a heat pump paired with a furnace
In a dual-energy installation, the heat pump does most of the heating through the winter and the furnace takes over in extreme cold. The KJRKAALW1 manual provides furnace and dual-energy modes on compatible units. It is listed on the submittal sheets for GCHMA coils, which also specify that a coil interface is required.

- Schedule of 4 settings per day, or a detailed schedule of up to 8 periods per day with mode, setpoint and fan.
- Remote control over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK network.
- Follow Me, child lock and group control.
Connection
Powered at 12 V DC, it connects to the HA and HB terminals, non-polarized, with 18 AWG shielded cable. It operates from 0 to 43 °C. For an air handler or a ductless unit, choose the KJRSAALW1 instead.

What to know before installing
- This model does not replace the KJRSAALW1 used on air handlers and ductless units: it is coil-specific.
- The GCHMA coil submittal states that a coil interface is required.
- You need a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network within reach of the controller.
- It connects to the HA and HB terminals, no polarity, with shielded cable.

Élios has a version of its programmable Wi-Fi controller specific to Central-Elios GCHM and GUHM coils, used on a furnace or in existing ductwork. Air handlers and ductless units take the KJRSAALW1.
Which app do I use?
The Élios manual names the mobile app to use, on iOS 9.0 and up and Android 6.0 and up; we set it up with you at start-up.
Does it handle dual fuel?
The manual provides furnace and dual-fuel modes on compatible units. We set the switchover point with you at start-up.
