Quick facts
The Fujitsu UTY-LBTUM IR receiver kit includes an infrared receiver and a wireless remote control. It is used with Fujitsu units installed out of sight, which cannot pick up a remote's signal directly: ARUH medium static pressure ducted units, ADUH slim ducted units and AMUH multi-position air handlers.
Controlling a ducted unit like a wall unit
The ducted unit hides in a ceiling, an attic or a closet. The receiver, on the other hand, goes in the room being served, recessed into a wall or ceiling, or surface-mounted. It is connected to the indoor unit by a 5 m cable, which can be extended up to 10 m with optional wire C. You keep the convenience of a handheld remote, with its wall holder.
What the kit includes
- The receiver, its cover, the insulation, wires A and B and the screws
- The wireless remote control, its holder and two R03/LR03 batteries
- The installation and operating manuals
Placing the receiver
Choose a spot with good signal reception, away from direct sunlight and air streams, and at least 1 m from fluorescent lighting. The remote's batteries last about a year in normal use. If you prefer a fixed control, Fujitsu also offers wired controllers such as the KAGAMI UTY-RVRU.
Installed by AirGreen in Greater Montréal
We install the receiver, connect it to the indoor unit and set up the remote control, in Montréal, Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore and the North Shore. RBQ licence 5645-9605-01. For availability or a quote, call us at 514 316-2973 or email sales@airgreen.ca with your indoor unit model.
A remote for a unit you cannot see
