Quick facts
The Fujitsu UTY-XSZXZ1 remote temperature sensor is a wall-mounted sensor that measures the air temperature in the room being served. Fujitsu offers it for its ADUH slim ducted units, its ARUH medium static pressure ducted units and its AMUH multi-position air handlers.
Why put a sensor in the room
A ducted unit or air handler is often installed in a ceiling, an attic, a closet or a basement. The temperature read at the unit can then differ from that of the room you live in, and the heat pump shuts off too early or too late. The wall sensor brings the reading back into the room and helps the unit hold the set point where it matters. It is especially useful when the system is operated by a wireless remote, with no wall controller that has its own sensor.
Units listed by Fujitsu
- ADUH…KUAS slim ducted units
- ARUH…KUAS ducted units (for example ARUH12KUAS)
- AMUH…KUAS air handlers (for example AMUH12KUAS and AMUH48KUAS)
Placing it correctly
Choose an interior wall in the main room, at occupant height, away from direct sun, supply registers, heat-producing appliances and exterior doors. The reference sensor setting is made in the indoor unit.
Installed by AirGreen in Greater Montréal
We install the sensor, run the cable to the indoor unit and make the setting in Montréal, Laval, Longueuil, on the South Shore and on the North Shore. RBQ licence 5645-9605-01. For availability or a quote, call us at 514 316-2973 or email sales@airgreen.ca with the model of your indoor unit.

Frequently asked questions
Is my unit compatible?

Why add a sensor?
When the indoor unit sits in a ceiling, attic or closet, the temperature it reads can differ from the room’s. The wall sensor reads where you live.
Do I need one with a wired remote?
Some Fujitsu remotes already have a built-in sensor, such as the UTY-RSRY. We advise based on the control you choose.
Can you install it?
Yes. We mount it, run the cable and make the setting in the indoor unit, everywhere in Greater Montréal.
