Quick facts
The Élios MI3C1 24 V mini interface lets you control an Élios unit with a standard 24 V thermostat. Élios wall-mounted heat pumps, cassettes and air handlers are normally run from their remote or their wired controller; the MI3C1 translates the signals from a conventional wall thermostat for the indoor unit.
The thermostat of your choice on an Élios unit
The manual presents it for common 24 V AC thermostats, including Wi-Fi models. It is useful when replacing an old system while keeping the thermostat in place, or when you want a thermostat already used elsewhere in the house. Élios lists it for its EMC and EBC wall-mounted heat pumps, its GKHRA, GQHRA and GQHLA cassettes, its EAHM air handlers and the GGHL, GPHL, GCHM and GUHM units.
Thermostat terminals
- R and C (24 V power), G (fan).
- Y1 and Y2/Y (compressor), B/O (reversing valve).
- W and W1 (heating and electric backup), E/AUX (emergency), DH (dehumidification), L (fault signal).
Good to know
Élios specifies that functions may be reduced with a 24 V thermostat compared with its own controls. The interface mounts on a wall, indoors, between -5 and 43 °C. Keep 300 to 500 mm between low-voltage and high-voltage wiring. A T1 sensor and extension cables up to 6 m are included.

Your 24 V thermostat on an Élios unit
Élios ductless units and air handlers have no 24 V terminals: the MI3C1 bridges the gap.

Frequently asked questions
Which thermostat can I connect?
A standard 24 V AC thermostat. The manual names common ones such as Nest, ecobee and Honeywell. We check the terminals of your model with you.
Do I lose any functions?
Possibly. Élios notes that performance and features may vary, and some may be reduced or unavailable with a 24 V thermostat rather than its native controls.
How is it different from the LI2C1 large interface?
The MI3C1 connects a 24 V thermostat to an Élios indoor unit. The LI2C1 pairs a coil, furnace or air handler, even another brand, with an Élios outdoor unit; the maker recommends the MI3C1 when it fits.
Can you install it?
Yes. We mount the interface, wire the thermostat and the indoor unit, and test every mode, everywhere in Greater Montréal.
