Quick facts
The Élios Q2448AGRL grille is the large front panel for Élios 4-way cassettes from 24,000 to 48,000 BTU: the GQHRA24 in the EEC series and the GQHLA36 and GQHLA48 in the EUR series. It closes the ceiling opening, draws air in at the centre and distributes it through four louvres. The manufacturer's submittal sheets identify it as the required grille.
The panel for large cassettes, for large rooms
Cassettes of this size serve stores, offices, open-plan rooms and finished basements, where a wall-mounted unit would be too visible or too weak. The panel carries the louvre motor and connects to the unit's control box: it is part of commissioning.
Dimensions from the installation guide
- Panel: 950 mm (37.4 in) square.
- Ceiling opening: 900 mm (35.4 in).
- Cassette body: 830 mm (32.7 in).
Before cutting into the ceiling
First check that the structure can carry the cassette, based on the weight shown on its submittal sheet, and that the hanger rods land in the right place. The panel attaches to the unit with four M5 screws and its height is adjusted through the corner openings, without touching the wiring or the drain. Compact cassettes from 9,000 to 18,000 BTU take the K0918AGRL grille instead.
