Quick facts
This bathroom fan timer replaces the ordinary wall switch. The fan keeps running after the shower, then shuts off automatically when the time runs out. Two models: a universal 30-minute timer and a timer with a choice of 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes.
The humidity doesn’t leave when you do
People often turn the fan off on their way out of the bathroom, while the air is still saturated with steam. The moisture then settles on the walls, the ceiling and the tile grout: that is where mould starts. On the other hand, a forgotten fan runs all day and exhausts heated air for nothing. The timer solves both problems.
Two models
- 30 minutes, universal: a fixed delay, simple for the whole family to use.
- 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes: you choose the delay according to the shower, the bath or the size of the room.
Before installation
Check that the timer’s amperage rating suits the fan, especially if it includes a light or a heating element. The connection is made in a standard wall electrical box, by qualified personnel. If your bathroom is connected to an air exchanger rather than a fan, choose an air exchanger wall timer.

Frequently asked questions
How long should the fan run after a shower?
At least 20 minutes, longer in a small bathroom with no window. The 10-20-30-60 min model lets you adjust for the room.
Will it work with my fan?
It controls most 120 V bathroom fans. Send us the fan model to confirm the rating is right.
What if the bathroom is connected to the air exchanger?
Then use an air exchanger wall timer instead, which switches the unit to high speed.
Can you install it?
Yes. We install it with the fan, with the wiring done by qualified personnel, everywhere in Greater Montréal.
