GENERAL AIRSTAGE FJ-AC-485-1 BACnet MS/TP Module (Intesis Gateway)

The GENERAL AIRSTAGE FJ-AC-485-1 BACnet module is the gateway the manufacturer lists for integrating its AIRSTAGE heat pumps into a building management system, and it is identical to the module sold under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand. Fujitsu General Limited has carried the name GENERAL Inc. since January 1, 2026; the manufacturer, its factories and the AIRSTAGE lineup remain the same. In the manufacturer’s accessory lists, the module appears as the “Intesis - BACnet MSTP & Modbus RTU Gateway”: the gateway is designed by Intesis for AIRSTAGE equipment (GENERAL or Fujitsu).

If your plans refer to the gateway by its former name, see the same part under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE brand; the GENERAL brand is gradually replacing the old one, and both are in circulation during the transition.

Heat pumps in centralized management

Managers of commercial buildings, schools or seniors’ residences often run lighting, ventilation and heating from one central workstation. The FJ-AC-485-1 gateway brings the AIRSTAGE heat pumps into that workstation, over a BACnet MS/TP network or, per the manufacturer’s description, over Modbus RTU. Each indoor unit then appears in the system, which can monitor and control it.

• ACUH and AUUH cassettes, as well as the suspended ceiling unit

Preparing the network connection

Network parameters are set with the integrator in charge of the management system. If the network runs on Modbus only, the manufacturer also offers the UTY-VMSX converter. Before ordering, we go over the protocol, the number of units and the model of each one with you.
